Voip is a common onomatopoeia in the Homestar Runner universe. It is most probably derived from the initials of "Voice Over Internet Protocol", an internet-based telephony system made popular by the likes of Skype.
Instances when 'Voip' crop up include:
- Teen Girl Squad Issue 11 when Cheerleader is blinded by Science Fiction Greg's bare chest.
- Cheerleader falls victim to Visor Robot's 'VoIP!' in Teen Girl Squad Issue 1.
- Hallrunner when you choose to fight Robot Darren.
- On Store Front Page News 2006 to advertise Get Ye Flask.
- It appears several times in the comic strip part of alternate universe.
- It is the teleportation noise in Thy Dungeonman 3.
