I was thinking about doing this page for some time now. In my Hebrew article there is already a section about Easter eggs and I was thinking if I should translate it back to English, or should it be the other way around? The wiki would make the article, and I'll translate it to Hebrew. What do you think? Elcool (talk)(contribs) 07:23, 15 October 2005 (UTC) wrong wiki. you meant Wikipedia, not HRwiki. hrwiki is about Homestar easeter eggs, not eggs in general.

No, we can do that to say what an Easter egg is to help describe an egg found in the H*R Universe. Bluebry 03:43, 1 April 2006 (UTC)

first SBemail easter egg?

was?

According to the DVD commentary for depressio, the first Easter egg was a link that you got if you emailed Strong Sad. Alternatively, the first immediately-clickable Easter egg was in studying. --DorianGray

an undertaking of gigantic proportions

does anyone thinks that it would be appropriate to compile ALL Easter eggs here in one comprehensicve list? I R F 20:38, 15 December 2006 (UTC)

I think that would be... Um... That is to say... Ow... My neural transmitters just shut down. --DorianGray
Actually, I have been thinking about that for some time...(But was way too scared to do it myself, or even suggest it...) I'd be glad to help out! kai lyn 20:49, 15 December 2006 (UTC)
You're help will be appreciated. You've been doing fine work so far but let's wait and see some more the of the sysops say, or at least wait for DorianGray to get off the floor and re-gain consciousness. I R F 20:51, 15 December 2006 (UTC)
I'm not so sure if that would be worth our time. It seems like if you wanted to know what the Easter eggs of a certain toon are, you would just go to that toon's page. Perhaps a more reasonable goal would be a list of all toon with Easter eggs in them. That way people can be sure they've seen them all without giving the wiki a page that I foresee to be very cluttered and confusing. Am I alone in this line of thought? small_logo.pngUsername-talk 21:13, 15 December 2006 (UTC)
I agree. Maybe this could be a column in User:Shwoo/All Toons, if Shwoo is happy with that. Loafing 21:23, 15 December 2006 (UTC)
Yea I think that the idea of listing all eggs doesn't seem to have a point. There may be some value if there were meaningful differences in eggs (maybe first a count of how many eggs are word play gags, how many are homsar inserts, how many are continuations of the scene, how many relate to previous toons, etc.) but that's a major undertaking in and of itself, and at this point I don't think we'd find enough of a pattern or clean cut discriptions to make even that worth while. As is, a count of eggs as part of a list of all toons makes the most sense. - Ilko Skevüld's Teh C 21:39, 15 December 2006 (UTC)
Sounds like a good idea to me. The main problem is that I put toons that were released at the same time in the same row.Shwoo 06:30, 16 December 2006 (UTC)
I just reformatted so that each toon is in a seperate row. Is listing all the Easter Eggs still a good idea? Shwoo 07:24, 18 December 2006 (UTC)

Frame numbers in easter eggs

Not really sure whether this is the right place to post this, but here goes. I was thinking how useful it would be if frame numbers of easter eggs were mentioned in the Easter Egg section of toons/sbemails. It would make it so much easier to find them quickly. What do you think? BigToe7000 19:46, 17 May 2007 (UTC)

I don't see how that's easier... I mean, how on earth would anyone know what frame is what, anyway? --DorianGray 19:52, 17 May 2007 (UTC)
Dorian, when viewing in media player classic, it gives me frame numbers. That doesn't mean i think it's a good idea, just saying... DeFender1031 19:53, 17 May 2007 (UTC)
