Stop posting random messages in talk pages
Please stop posting random messages in random users' talk pages. It is considered spamming and it is a bit rude. Should you continue to do this, the powers that be have to take steps to prevent you from continuing in this endeavour. Thanks. --Stux 19:20, 31 October 2009 (UTC)
- Thanks a lot, kid. You just made me quit the wiki. Not like anyone cares though, because since I'm a gnome, I'm considered useless on this wiki. Signing off forever, DavidMichael T C
- No one made you quit the Wiki. He just asked you to stop spamming talk pages, which you were doing. --Jay (Gobble) 19:41, 31 October 2009 (UTC)
- Like Jay said, there is no one making you quit the wiki and no one has said anything about gnome work or your work being useless. Lots of users here do varying degrees of gnome work and all that work is a positive contribution to the wiki. However, your actions at the time were disrupting the wiki and a serious message was necessary to make the disruption clear. There is no need to overreact. --Stux 22:52, 31 October 2009 (UTC)
- I don't doubt that you just meant to be friendly, but Stux and Jay are right that it's not proper wiki etiquette to send out messages en masse that way. In the future, I would suggest that you simply leave a Happy Halloween (or whatever holiday it might be) message on your own userpage for anyone who happens by to see. Also, don't be discouraged from gnoming, as we're always glad to have people improving the encyclopedia. Heimstern Läufer

- Okay, I accept your apology. I'm not quitting. I love this wiki too much. DavidMichael T C
