Ding! Homestar Runner and Marzipan's Relationship is a featured article, which means it showcases an important part of the Homestar Runner body of work and/or highlights the fine work of this wiki. We also might just think it's cool. If you see a way this page can be updated or improved without compromising previous work, feel free to contribute.

[edit] Sloppy

Hey...Ummm...Yeah, the article looks kind of sloppy. Especially with the content box thingy. Darthvader66 04:34, 20 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Naming consistency?

Proposing moving this article to Homestar Runner and Marzipan's Relationship, to match the name of the similar article Homestar Runner and Strong Bad's Relationship. — Image:kskunk_fstandby.gif KieferSkunk (talk) — 07:55, 25 December 2006 (UTC)

Yeah. Spelling out his whole name seems good. --DorianGray
Needs to be consistent, and Dorian is right that the full name is better in this case, I think. Heimstern Läufer 08:22, 25 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Other references

Is it weird that this is the only relationship article to include an "other" section? I just guessed it was supposed to show that their relationship is the most complex on the site, but it is taking forever to finish. Bad Bad Guy 03:01, 1 March 2007 (UTC)

If there are no objections within the next seven days I'll can it for consistency's sake. Bad Bad Guy 22:39, 3 March 2007 (UTC)
What are you planning to do? Remove the section? Try to complete it in one edit? Put on a purple thing and dance around? Elcool (talk)(contribs) 09:32, 4 March 2007 (UTC)
Remove it because we don't list "other" references to Homestar and Strong Bad's relationship, or "other" references to Strong Bad and Strong Sad's relationship. Bad Bad Guy 21:47, 4 March 2007 (UTC)
So what's wrong with doing it here? Maybe there's no "other" to LIST for them, but there is here. --DorianGray 21:51, 4 March 2007 (UTC)

I know there are "other" references to this relationship but not anyone elses', but my other concern is that no one seems to care about finishing that section. All those points except two are mine, and I had to expand upon one of those two (In so and so and this toon and that toon Homestar and Marzipan are at Marzipan's house.). Does anyone care? Bad Bad Guy 00:51, 5 March 2007 (UTC) revised Bad Bad Guy 18:33, 5 March 2007 (UTC)

Sure we care. Sometimes we just forget about articles and you can try to bring attention to them or just deal with them yourself. Anyway, I think the Other section is fine, but we'll need a bit more concensus if someone's planning on doing away with it completely. -Brightstar Shiner 18:37, 5 March 2007 (UTC)
What if I just removed points relating to toons mentioned in different sections, then add a secret warning? Bad Bad Guy 00:09, 6 March 2007 (UTC)
That would work. -Brightstar Shiner 23:13, 6 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Still incomplete?

Do you guys think it's safe to remove the incomplete template? I ran out of other references. Bad Bad Guy 23:37, 14 March 2007 (UTC)

Looks good to me, so I think you can remove it. You spent a really long time working on this, didn't you? You did a great job, Guy! -Brightstar Shiner 00:24, 15 March 2007 (UTC)
If you don't already know, the Answering Machine quotes aren't mine. Bad Bad Guy 02:27, 15 March 2007 (UTC)
I know, but I saw you working on this page so diligently that it got done by your hard work in a very short time. You did an excellent job, Guy. -Brightstar Shiner 22:09, 15 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Homestar not really offending Marzipan

Email helium — Homestar disagrees with Marzipan over whether the floating object is The Cheat or an ugly bird.

Email original — Homestar does not listen to Marzipan that Original Bubs never existed.

--> How is that offensive? They just have a different opinion. It's not as though people always had to have identical thoughts in a relationship. Anybody else think those examples should be removed?--Cass from Germany 20:53, 27 June 2008 (UTC)

[edit] New page?

Homestar and Marzipan breaking up is a fairly common thing. Would it merit its own page, or is the subject covered enough in the article?

I think it makes more sense in the larger relationship article. Their on again/off again passive/aggressive relationship is part of the joke. wbwolf (t | ed) 20:18, 23 November 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Marzipan's Answering Machine 16.2

So... what do we make of Homestar's rapid back-and-forth in Answering Machine #16.2, if anything? (Why do I get the feeling that the Brothers Chaps are messing with us?) - Taster's Choice 19:12, 1 July 2010 (UTC)

[edit] Not Offending Her

In "Where's The Cheat" Marzipan didn't seem to react when Homestar called her "stupid".72.161.149.114 03:51, 2 January 2011 (UTC)

She was sleeping and didn't hear it properly. As she woke up, Homestar corrected himself. --Jay (Gobble) 03:48, 2 January 2011 (UTC)
Either way, how was it offending her?72.161.149.114 03:51, 2 January 2011 (UTC)
He called her stupid. It's pretty offensive.--Record307 Talk/Contribs 04:13, 2 January 2011 (UTC)
I mean, she didn't seem offended, and it looked like it was an accident. Plus, Homestar corrected himself anyways. - MeowMeow
