A Wumpus is a creature from turn-based text adventure game Hunt the Wumpus, where the player is tasked with killing the Wumpus. It is cited to be one of the first in the survival horror genre.
Appearances
- Thy Dungeonman — If you input the command SMELL/SNIFF, you get a line of dialogue saying "You smell a Wumpus".
- HomestarRunner.com: PAY PLUS! — The floppy disk seen during the "Trap Door" sample reads "hunt the wumpus".
