Revision as of 02:13, 21 January 2006

I was thinking of getting the image from death metal during the video chat. This page is kind of blank, anyway. I can upload images, but have no idea how to actually get them out of the toon, save them, and upload them. Can someone (a) try to help me out with this and (b) try to get the image in the event that I can't? teeeffoh! 21:43, 16 January 2006 (UTC)

Here's the 10 step meathod I've always used (I'm not sure if it'll work exactly the same way. I use Windows XP). Feel free to follow my simple, step by step instructions. I make uploading FUN!

  1. Watch the toon.
  2. When you get to the part of the toon you want a pic of, press Alt+Print Screen.
  3. Open a paint program, such as MS Paint.
  4. Paste the image in. (Ctr+V)
  5. Save as a PNG. (File, Save, when it asks for the image title, look for a drop down box right below it, and choose PNG format)
  6. Go to the Wiki.
  7. On the toolbar (left side of the screen "always there" buttons) look for "Upload File". Click it.
  8. Browse for your file, and upload it.
  9. Add link to the image on the right page. [[Image:Imagename.PNG|thumb|Cool Caption]]
  10. Get yourself a Danish.

Don't forget, if you're looking for an image for a case like this, do a quick search around the wiki to see if there's an image that'll meet the needs, without uploading a new one. Hope that helps. Thunderbird 21:52, 16 January 2006 (UTC)

I know how to capture images, save them, and upload them, but how do you crop the images and stuff like that? I tried doing it once, and it came out all messed up. Has Matt? (talk) 21:55, 16 January 2006 (UTC)
You have to do it before you upload it. Like on MS Paint. SaltyTalk! 21:58, 16 January 2006 (UTC)
I know that. I tried it, but failed. Has Matt? (talk) 21:59, 16 January 2006 (UTC)
