Whoa, when I first saw this cartoon I saw what was behind The KOT's silhouette for a split second! ......I think......

You saw this: [1] It's a red herring. Somebody should add thing to the article though, and whether it's meant for decompilers, or it's supposed to blink on everybody loading the page. King Klear 15:36, 26 October 2009 (UTC)

No, I actually saw the KOT's costume. He had light blue on him...and I think..sunglasses..but I can't remember. -Strong Homsar Bubz Coach (Bubz as an IP)

Strong Bad's costume

Does anybody know what Strong Bad is dressed as this year? 75.178.76.99 15:53, 26 October 2009 (UTC)

We know the previous two were merely hoaxes, the Xenomorph and the predator(?). Someone on the forum said it was a figure from DOOM, but I'm not sure. In the 8th one, he was dressed as Beetlejuice, and in the 9th one, he was dressed as the planet on the cover of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. Therefore, he will be dressed as someone while maintaining his body form. He might be dressed as someone I suggested in an earlier forum post, or something very clever. --Charlie Jr. 16:52, 26 October 2009 (UTC)

I think it's a generic space marine. In the Alien and Predator franchise, particularly in some of the AvP games before the 2004 movie, marines are commonly a third "faction". Dunno if its strong enough to be put in the article, though. -132.183.151.223 17:00, 26 October 2009 (UTC)
Looks a lot like RoboCop to me, but you could be right - any random armored dude would have that same shape.
It's surly RoboCop. Just take a look at this picture. The round helmet, the jagged shoulders, the iconic gun, and so on. Elcool (talk)(contribs) 18:43, 26 October 2009 (UTC)
Yeah, you'we pwobably wight. (But please don't call him Shirley). -132.183.151.223 19:04, 26 October 2009 (UTC)

It's Duke Nukem.

Wait time

Is anyone else having to wait an endlessly long time for the animation to happen? i can't hear crickets chirping or anything. when i right click, the play button remains checked. is anyone else having a similar problem? The Knights Who Say Ni 16:30, 26 October 2009 (UTC)

nvm; i found out already that the problem is on my end. The Knights Who Say Ni 16:57, 26 October 2009 (UTC)

The KoT

Any ideas what the KoT is dressed as in the Easter Egg? I thought it might've been Perducci at first but I was way off. I'm almost certain I've seen it before but I absolutely don't recognize where it's from. --Stux 16:35, 26 October 2009 (UTC)

Sonny Crockett, perhaps? - Perhaps-I-should-register-guy
Yeah, that makes sense. I just noticed the 5 o'clock shadow which is a big giveaway. Well, very strong evidence anyway. I don't get why there doesn't seem to be any mention of this costume being previously used anywhere (after doing quick searches). I wonder if this is a teaser exclusive. A couple of google searches only provided a forum link with an '08 guess. Anyone care to do more digging? --Stux 17:16, 26 October 2009 (UTC)
I think the KoT is Darth Vader in the silhouette. Anybody agree? Pacoman 02:20, 27 October 2009 (UTC)

Most in the Graveyard

I know the tradition was present in the two teasers previous, but how does "I really like your covered all in black ink costumes" allude to last year's Halloween happenings? NMRodo 19:22, 26 October 2009 (UTC)

Who says it has to allude to last year's Halloween? MHarrington 23:29, 26 October 2009 (UTC)
The Fun Fact that says that it does? I'm removing it. --Jay v.2024 (Auld lang syne) 23:37, 26 October 2009 (UTC)

Subtitles

The script should be at ween09_teaser, but since underscores and spaces typically are the same thing, I can't move it. Maybe a sysop could copy the source code, delete ween09 teaser create ween09_teaser, and paste it there? That'sBupkis! 21:34, 26 October 2009 (UTC)

There is no such distinction in Mediawiki. The best you can do is use {{DISPLAYTITLE}} to display an underscore, as that's the only technical difference anyway. I have done so for that page. — Defender1031*Talk 21:36, 26 October 2009 (UTC)

One shining star

Above the cheat there is one star that shines... worth mentioning? 220.235.105.33 05:30, 27 October 2009 (UTC)

That was true in all the teasers. — Defender1031*Talk 05:35, 27 October 2009 (UTC)

Name

The feedburn page calls it "Costume Teaser" -128.103.10.123 16:21, 27 October 2009 (UTC)

We've always called it "Halloween (year) Teaser" until the toon came out, then moved it to "(toon name) Teaser". Given that "costume teaser" will most likely be the name that shows up next year as well, i think our naming scheme is probably better. — Defender1031*Talk 18:35, 27 October 2009 (UTC)

Costumes

Aw man, the aniticipation of waiting is too much. I'm gonna try and take a crack at who's who already. If anybody wants to join your welcome to. Okay, Strong Mad looks like a some kind of Trucker, The Poopsmith looks like a Rooster of some kind, Homestar appears to be wearing bellbottoms...so I wanna say something Hannah Barbarra related. Coach Z looks like a cat-like thing to me I see ears and...whiskers? Homsar looks like he's wearing a puffy fro wig. The Cheat looks furrier than usual so I wanna say...wolf? Strong Bad will clearly not be Robo-Cop. For Pom Pom, Strong Sad and Marzipan I cannot guess. I can't figure out Bubs' costume either. The King of Town is also a hard one to guess. So, that's what i've came up with so far. Strong Bad will remain a mystery. C-Son-L Sweaters 18:59, 27 October 2009 (UTC)
