Welcome to ma' world. I'm Darth Katana X, a fourteen-year-old man who idolizes Homestar Runner and Strong Bad (really, who doesn't?). I'm good at watching Homestar Runner but I'm really bad at editing wikis (especially this one), communicating with other human beings (especially girls), and playing video games (especially Peasant's Quest). When I get older, I hope to produce an anime movie about Y3K and after my death be remembered as the first prophet to predict the crisis when everyone is collecting maxi pads and old computers (if the Second Coming doesn't occur before the year 3000). I'm probably a weird individual.

Stupid things I think

I'm not a gifted person, so I generally tend to think some very weird things, including that the world is flat, and that the sky is actually green but we have so much magic dust in our eyes that we see it as blue. Here are some really stupid wiki-related things I think (go ahead and laugh):

HRWiki:Userboxes
POD
  • I think that the word "universe" shouldn't be used to describe Homestar Runner-related media including the web site because it comes off as a flimsy substitute for other terms such as "Homestar Runner web site" or simply "Homestar Runner," and also that use of "universe" contradicts the actual site because characters like Strong Bad and Stinkoman all live in seperate "universes."
  • I think that if we (the "Wiki") are going to use an unofficial name for a certain unnamed robot, we should at least come up with a better one.
  • I think that "running gag" has become something of a nice-lookin' codename for "recurring element" here and that we shouldn't tear Homestar Runner apart even to the most unimportant details because it takes away from the "magic" (as Strong Bad would say).
  • I think that categories such as "word running gags" should be given more grammatical names such as "word-related running gags." (DorianGray and Qermaq have proved, however, that this idea is a bit more realistic than my usual stupid ideas.)

"Homestar Runner universe" issue

The wiki is currently using the term "Homestar Runner universe" as opposed to "Homestar Runner web site." There are many issues here:

  • In articles such as Deliberately Poor English, the use of the term sounds very, very ridiculous: "Poorly-translated English, or Engrish, is often used deliberately in the Homestar Runner universe." See what I mean? Wouldn't "web site" work better here?
  • Although it has been explained to be a term for "fictional universe," this seems to be going into obsessed Star Wars, Harry Potter or Tolkien fandom territory here (i.e. believing that Homestar Runner is real).
  • In alternate universe, Homestar's universe, Stinkoman's, Sir Strong Bad's, et cetera were all revealed to be seperate.
  • It just sounds stupid.
