Personal image
Hey there, GuardDuck. Welcome to the wiki! Regarding your personal image, if you're using it, and no one else is, then it's yours, regardless of who actually uploaded it. I need to speak to you, however, about the image you're currently using. The problem is that it's not a free image. The Pearls Before Swine website offers access to strips for about a month after they're released, but after that, you have to pay to see the archives. What this means is that we can't allow the image on our site, as it is definitely not fair use. Sorry. Perhaps there is something else you could use to illustrate your page, but, unfortunately, I'm going to have to delete that image soon. Keep on tranglin', and, again, welcome! — It's dot com 02:35, 24 October 2007 (UTC)
- I see, thanks for explaining, and thanks for the welcome. One thing though, I didn't find the image on the Pearls Before Swine website, I found it on a blog I sometimes read. Does this mean it's still illegal? —Guard Duck talk 03:17, 24 October 2007 (UTC)
- I'm not a lawyer, but my guess is that either (a) the blog has a legitimate claim to fair use or (b) the blog is using the image illegally. Either way, fair use can't be extended to this site, as we are a wiki about Homestar Runner, not Pearls Before Swine. Hope that helps. — It's dot com 03:32, 24 October 2007 (UTC)
- It does. Thanks for your help! —Guard Duck talk 03:35, 24 October 2007 (UTC)

Using Show Preview
Hello GuardDuck, I see that you have made several consecutive edits to the same page. I want to point out the Show Preview button. It's right next to the Save Page button when you edit. You should use it whenever you are making a lot of experimental edits, for example when you are trying to get formatting right. Using the Show Preview button is quicker and easier than saving and clicking "edit" again, and will keep recent changes and page histories from being flooded. Thanks, The Goblin!! 23:37, 24 October 2007 (UTC)
P.S. If you have no idea what I'm talking about, see this. The Goblin!!

- Thank you. The reason I didn't use the show preview button on that was because each time I had fixed it, I thought for sure that it was right, meaning I didn't bother to use it. I can see now that it does come in handy. —Guard Duck talk 00:12, 25 October 2007 (UTC)
