[edit] Music types
I'd like to include some subtitles about the type of music playing behind each section. It may be hard to fully represent in subtitles, but the music switch-up adds quite a bit when this is played with the sound on. At the beginning of each section, for example, I could add a short sfx tag about the genre each time it changes.
For example:
<line start="1418" end="1428" speaker="strongbad">Solid jumble!</line> <line start="1431" end="1433" speaker="other">Crazy</line> <line start="1434" end="1455" speaker="strongbad">beans double the real gold!</line> <line start="1468" end="1474" speaker="strongbad">Computer</line> <line start="1475" end="1481" speaker="strongsad">internet</line>
Could be edited to:
<line start="1425" end="1428"> <sfx>rock music starts</sfx> <strongbad>Solid jumble!</strongbad></line> <line start="1431" end="1433"> <sfx>rock music starts</sfx> <other>Crazy</other></line> <line start="1434" end="1455"> <sfx>rock music starts</sfx> <strongbad>beans double the real gold!</strongbad></line> <line start="1468" end="1474" speaker="strongbad">Computer</line> <line start="1475" end="1481" speaker="strongsad">internet</line>
...then add the tags for the new song that starts at about frame 1774
- Another idea is just to keep an sfx tag through the whole rock opera, indicating the music style, something simple like: rock, techno, or piano
The music in this email is pretty important to the overall feeling, but it's hard to communicate. Comments/Ideas? -Dutchscout 06:09, 12 December 2008 (UTC)
