[edit] No subtitles?

Um, I don't know why there aren't any subtitles for this video... If I get the time I can make them myself... -Dutchscout 08:50, 21 February 2009 (UTC)

The problem is that it's rather hard to do, technically... The subtitles are synced to the video (since we use the frame numbers for timing)... but in Theme Song Video, the video and audio aren't synced to each other, like they normally are. So we can't guarantee that the subtitles will be in sync with the words on everyone's computer (on a slower computer, the subtitles will lag behind the sound). This also makes it hard to actually make the subtitles, since the audio doesn't stop when you pause the video... you can't use the usual tools to figure out where each line starts and ends. Also, the video finishes before the audio does... so any subtitles will have to leave off the last couple of lines. So... we can't really subtitle this one. Unfortunately. --phlip TC 08:55, 21 February 2009 (UTC)
Hey, thanks for the reply before I even posted on your talk page... 'super souvice!' That's too bad about the syncing problem, maybe for the last few lines we could just put them on screen all together? I know it's really important to sync the speech to the audio, but aren't subtitles really for hearing-impaired people? (I guess I can't talk, I use them all the time) -Dutchscout 09:03, 21 February 2009 (UTC)
