[edit] Difference from regular similes
And how exactly are these similes more "odd" than any other? RickTommy (edits) 00:22, 14 March 2020 (UTC)
- By not following any sort of logic one would expect from a simile; for example, one would not expect a mountain goat to be described as "pure", nor a friendship to be compared to a bowl of mayonnaise. Does that answer your question? Lira (talk) 04:45, 14 March 2020 (UTC)
- I'm afraid some people either didn't get the jokes of some of those, or didn't understand the difference. The joke with mountain goat is a last-minute substitution. You expect 'mountain spring.' Similarly, "a newborn's biscuit" is clearly using a euphemism for 'butt.' so that's a different joke. I'm afraid this really is not a recurring thing outside of the first examples.
