Talk:Subtitles
From Homestar Runner Wiki
[edit] Or I'll gnaw your face off
While I can understand the idea, it's not really a joke or running gag, per se. It's just something done occasionally, with no real connection. Moreover, as far as we can tell, it's done straight. The only time subtitles has been used as a joke, would be in bike thief. But one time does not an article make. wbwolf (t | ed) 05:46, 12 January 2010 (UTC)

There are multiple instances where Senior Cardgage's speech oddities show up in the on-screen text, though, as is the case with "it's dot-com", I don't believe these would be classified subtitles.
- I say merge into a real subtitles article that includes ALL subtitles (not just translation.) This would include sing-a-long subtitles. —ColdReactive 16:06, 4 May 2010 (UTC)
- A page called "Subtitles" and two sections, "Translation" and "Musical"? yeah, I kinda like that idea. Though, if that page would actually be created, that couldn't be a redirect to HRWiki:Subtitles. We could just stamp a
This article is about blah blah. For the blah, see blah.

- We already do that for vandalism, so why not go for it? (In fact, I was the one who put the redirect template under the crimes committed by strong bad.) —ColdReactive 22:09, 4 May 2010 (UTC)
- Oh, just nix the whole thing. I created the article out of boredom and I think it's served its purpose. Just put it in my userspace, your userspace, whoever's userspace - I don't want the article anymore. It's better off out of the mainspace. I'd ask for it to be deleted, but I quite love looking at the page history (PS. I often get hypnotised looking at article histories and contribution histories), so put it in my userspace or someone else's. RickTommy (edits) 08:49, 5 May 2010 (UTC)
- Why? It's a legit and good looking potentially good and seemingly excellent that shines brightly as it gets admired for its quality... article. —ColdReactive 13:46, 5 May 2010 (UTC)
- So I'm getting the thought of making the subtitles article real in the way I imagined. Shall I go along with it? Or should I wait for more consensus? —ColdReactive 16:09, 16 May 2010 (UTC)
- I'm in favor of this article A: staying B: being moved to Subtitles and 3. staying and being moved to Subtitles. That is what I say. And that is all that I say. — Defender1031*Talk 23:27, 24 June 2010 (UTC)
- Just so the admins know, I haven't moved this myself as Talk:Subtitles has tons of stuff on it (including archives), which should actually be merged into HRWiki:Subtitles or whatever. ColdReactive 14:10, 25 June 2010 (UTC)
- I tried to move the article and talk page to Subtitles (since the stuff was all moved now apparently, in the past?) But, it won't allow the move, due to it being an article that exists (the move special page states you can move a page to an existing page, only if it is empty or is only a redirect, but this isn't possible somehow.) - The reason it wouldn't let you move the page is that by clearing it, you created a page history. (If you had attempted to move it when the only revision was the redirect, it should have let you.) — It's dot com 05:36, 1 February 2011 (UTC)
