[edit] Blah?

Um, what exactly is this? — SamSF%20sig.jpgFisher (Come in, Lambert.) 04:15, 16 November 2007 (UTC)

That's a good question. Apparently I created it, and I don't know what it is. It seems to be unused so I suppose it can be deleted. — User:ACupOfCoffee@ 04:51, 17 November 2007 (UTC)
It's used in MediaWiki:Licenses (which contains the list of licenses for the Special:Upload list) to put {{don't know}} and {{some website}} on images, if that's selected... Looking at the history, it seems it was originally a workaround to put both the more specific "don't know"/"some website" template, and also {{no license}} on the same image... since Special:Upload will only put on one template... but that got removed. It seems rather useless, as it stands right now... we could either put {{no license}} back on, or get rid of it entirely and put {{don't know}} and {{some website}} directly onto <licenses>. Or just leave it as it is, since it's not really hurting anything. --phlip TC 04:58, 17 November 2007 (UTC)
The fact that it's not doing anything is a perfect reason to get rid of it. — SamSF%20sig.jpgFisher (Come in, Lambert.) 12:05, 17 November 2007 (UTC)
it appears to ME that all this does is take its first parameter and turn it into a template... so instead of typing {{templatename}} you type {{no license from license selector|templatename}}... seems useless to me... — Defender1031*Talk 7:08, 17 November 2007 (UTC)
