Hello? No one seems to be saying anything.
- If you want conversation, try the talk pages of articles! This is a wiki, after all, and theoretically we're all here to work on it. (And by "try the talk pages" I mean actually contribute to conversations that relate directly to the articles, not say things like "I thought this one was great!" Not that you have; just that happens a lot.) And sooner or later you'll make some edit that somebody will come here to talk about! —AbdiViklas 20:25, 27 November 2005 (UTC)

- Another way is to troll pages. that way people will talk to you, telling you to stop. Then again, you will get blocked from the wiki. :-). — talk Bubsty edits 01:13, 28 November 2005 (UTC)
- Yeah, hehe; that'll get a response. (Actually, that's probably why some trolls do it; just to get recognition and/or interaction.) On an unrelated topic, check out this trick: after posting to a talk page, like this one, put 3 or 4 tildes after your post: ~~~~. Okay guys, I really didn't want to say this, but my mom does not want me on IRC at all. The good thing is that I haven't thrown in the towel just yet. At some point, I'm going to let my mom ask you guys some questions about the safety of the IRC room. I want you to tell her the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth about #hrwiki. The most reccomended person to talk to is JoeyDay, so if that day comes, I hope he is on. Otherwise, we are going to have to pick out another user to talk to.

- Oh, I think JoeyDay could talk any mom into a good opinion of anything he's involved with. He's a... good guy. I don't know how better to say it. I've got to throw in, of course, that you should be nice to your mom and whatever she says ultimately goes. The IRC isn't really the crackers-'n'-mustard of this place, anyway; the wiki is the wiki! But yeah, as online communities go, I think ours has an extremely positive atmosphere. None of the cussing, porn-linking, smack-talking, anarchy you see in some places. If you want, I'll bet somebody could even save some transcripts of IRC sessions to show her (not me, since I'm never there). —AbdiViklas 03:22, 29 November 2005 (UTC)
