[edit] Talkin' about scope on a Tuesday

Never mind that it's a Thursday.

I was concerned, when making this page, that people would misuse it for "any reference to the day Tuesday" and was careful with my examples; I'm not even convinced I should have added the Strong Badia the Free example. The page was intended to note when events - often nonspecific ones - are nonetheless specifically said to happen on an arbitrary Tuesday, with there being no particular reason why it would be Tuesday in particular. The yes, wrestling example was one I specifically avoided, because Strong Bad is clearly talking about a specific event (creating the yes, wrestling email) on a specific Tuesday (November 27, 2007). I brought this up on Discord, and DorianGray/DarkfireTaimatsu said that he added it because, if you're watching it for the first time years after it was created, the fact that it was created on a Tuesday is not obvious, and it literally contains the words "on a Tuesday" (I am heavily paraphrasing; DorianGray can give a more complete explanation if I misunderstood or left something important out.) I kinda see where he's coming from, but I'm not convinced. Thoughts? (Meanwhile, I am more okay with the addition of the bet - though the event is specific, the Tuesday is not - which DorianGray was surprised over; he apparently thought I'd protest that one.) --Jay (Gobble) 20:18, 30 November 2023 (UTC)

I'm not sure this is concept is worthy of a page, but if it is, I think yes, wrestling should be on it. -113.37.226.89 00:46, 1 December 2023 (UTC)
Those subsequent edits highlight why I think the concept (as Jay envisions it) is too vague to make a good page. -113.37.226.89 00:52, 1 December 2023 (UTC)
If it's all mentions of Tuesday, it's not a concept at all. "This toon mentioned Tuesday" is not a page. The three examples that best exemplify what I was going for are hremail 3184, Characters from Yonder Website, and The Show: Ween Edition (which, not coincidentally, were the first three on the page.) In all three of those cases, the joke is that the event being mentioned is so vague it could have been "on any day whatsoever", but for no reason at all, it's "a Tuesday". Not a specific Tuesday. Not every Tuesday. Just a Tuesday. Because Tuesday and for no other reason. the bet is the fourth-best example, because the date is vague even though the event is not. I don't know if weekly events should count at all, but I'm tentatively allowing the sillier (or sillier-worded) ones for now. Mentioning, say, that Strong Bad checks his snail mail on Tuesdays in other days when the email is all about Strong Bad's weekly schedule is definitely not the joke, period. --Jay (Gobble) 01:00, 1 December 2023 (UTC)
