[edit] Redirect

Hi there Ppk01. I can't seem to figure out why you would create a page called SBEMAIL! to redirect to rock opera. Could you please explain? -- Tom 16:39, 16 Jul 2005 (UTC)

"'SBEMAIL!' is the title of Strong Bad's rock opera from the email of the same name." Ppk01 17:12, 16 Jul 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Fan of Japan

Hey, there. I just saw you added a list of Japanese character names for the H*R characters. I'm a big fan of both H*R and Japanese (a friend of mine in Hawaii is teaching it to me even). But, unfortunately, my computer can't display other characters like in Japanese. Do you have the romanji forms? --DorianGray

Be under no illusion; don't think I actually know Japanese. I know katakana and that's about it. I'm not sure if I typed them out correctly, but I'll be happy to provide the romanji as well. Thank you for reading. Ppk01 20:36, 15 Aug 2005 (UTC)

That'd be great. And I only know hiragana myself... And a few random kanji. I really only use my dictionary for making up names for my characters. --DorianGray

[edit] Revised votes

Hey Ppk01. In STUFF, only your bottommost vote to accept counts. You had two accepts on one item, and the upper one has been removed. If you'd rather switch them, you can. Thanks. — It's dot com 18:21, 16 Aug 2005 (UTC)

Sorry, I probably wasn't paying attention. I'll see to it that it won't happen again. Ppk01 21:13, 16 Aug 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Redirect controversy

Please stop making redirects to all the Strong Bad emails. The sysops are probably going to delete them anyway. Thanks. --BazookaJoe 15:09, 22 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Well, obviously the above is out of date. Sometimes things change. Sometimes you've got to help them change. You obviously did the right thing by starting this discussion, because you'll note that I agreed with you almost immediately. Then E.L. Cool agreed. He ran into the same problem you had when he started to make the redirects. But the issue didn't go away, and we were able to talk it through and eventually get it done. So the lesson here is, if you have what you think is a really good idea, challenge the so-called rules, and be prepared to back your idea up with well-thought-out discussion. As for credit for coming up with the idea for redirects, JoeyDay suggested this nearly ten months ago. As for stealing your glory, sorry, but that's the breaks. I've written an entire transcript only to find out that someone else uploaded the same transcript mere seconds before I tried to upload mine. And in this case, I'm especially proud that I was able to upload 110 redirects in less than 30 minutes, an average of one every 16.4 seconds. Thankyouverymuch.It's dot com 16:19, 18 Aug 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Toward looking like an article

HRWiki doesn't have or really need an NPOV template, but you can place the following code at the top of your page to simulate one:

<center><div style="text-align: center; margin: 0 10% 1em 10%; font-family:Arial,Helvetica;">
valign="top" style="padding: 0.1em" |
style="padding: 0.1em" | The neutrality of this article is disputed.<br><div style="font-size: 90%;">Please see discussion on the talk page.</div>
</div></center>

Which would give you:

The neutrality of this article is disputed.
Please see discussion on the talk page.

Also, you've got the stub tag on your page, but your user page really shouldn't be in the list of stubs. That's no problem, just put the following code at the bottom of your page:

<div class="boilerplate plainlinks" id="stub">
This article is a stub. You can help the Homestar Runner Wiki by [SERVER expanding it.]
</div>
<div id="catlinks"><p class='catlinks'>Categories: Stubs</p></div>

And voilà!:

I thought of another thing: you might bold "Ppk01" (and possibly even include a birth year) like the biographies on Wikipedia. — It's dot com 17:24, 18 Aug 2005 (UTC)
Oh, man, Dot Com, I love the NPOV template. *steals* hehehehe... Homestar Coderhomestar-coder-sig.gif 17:44, 18 Aug 2005 (UTC)

Wow, thanks very much for the templates. I'll be sure to use them. Ppk01 09:46, 19 Aug 2005 (UTC)

The only reason I used the Strongbadia Stop Sign was because I didn't have the real symbol, but I got to thinking about it again, and I figured that we could surely find some use for that symbol here on our wiki, too. So I uploaded it from Wikimedia Commons. If you want to use it, change the image code from what's above to this: and you'll get this result:
The neutrality of this article is disputed.
Please see discussion on the talk page.
Or if you like the Strongbadia Stop Sign better, that's cool too. But I wanted you to have the choice. I dunno why I have found fixing up these "templates" to be such an interesting challenge, but I have. — It's dot com 15:35, 19 Aug 2005 (UTC)
I actually prefer the Strongbadia sign better, as it fits this wiki better. Plus, it just looks cooler. Ppk01 10:30, 20 Aug 2005 (UTC)
That's cool, I thought you might feel that way. I thought so too when I made it. I'll find a place for that official stop symbol somewhere. — It's dot com 18:50, 20 Aug 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Personal images

Ummm... You have 3 personal images. You're going to have to get rid of one of them because current policy only allows for two. Thank you very much! — User:ACupOfCoffee@ 02:21, 15 January 2006 (UTC)

Okay, I've removed underthetable.PNG. Delete it if you want. Ppk01 10:36, 15 January 2006 (UTC)

Thank you. — User:ACupOfCoffee@ 18:45, 15 January 2006 (UTC)
