This page
Why do we need this page? We have the the site updates pages and every email have it's date in the actual page. E.L. Cool 13:55, 7 Jul 2005 (UTC)
- I would also like to question the need for this page. -- Tom 21:05, 7 Jul 2005 (UTC)
- I stuck a deletion template on. It's kind of cute, but far from necessary/useful... Homestar Coder 22:12, 7 Jul 2005 (UTC) 22:12, 7 Jul 2005 (UTC)

I think it should stay. Looking around, I see that we have:
- Strong Bad Email By Length
- Strong Bad Email By Name
- Strong Bad Email By Place
- Strong Bad Email Intros
- Strong Bad Email Page Titles
- Strong Bad Email Raps
- Strong Bad Email Release Dates
- Strong Bad Email Statistics
Which is to say, whenever you have a large amount of data, there are several valid ways of organizing it. I like these pages because you never know when you're going to need to isolate a particular bit of info. As a knowledge base, if someone has done the research and compiled a list, it's handier to keep it than throw it away. For example, this particular page is useful when discussing the question: "The Paper is scheduled to be replaced in sbemail #173; given the rate emails have been released since montage, when will this occur?" (answer: about February 2007). Or: "How many emails to date (whose dates are known) were not released on Monday?" (answer: 18). — It's dot com 22:15, 7 Jul 2005 (UTC)
- You make a good case. Mostly I put "deletion" template on it to open up more discussion (so people can realize it's in danger of deletion). I'm still undecided about whether it should stay. Homestar Coder 22:16, 7 Jul 2005 (UTC) 22:16, 7 Jul 2005 (UTC)
- I'd publish the link to my sortable Strong Bad Email database, but I'm afraid all the trolls we seem to attract would attack my site! -- tomstiff 16:35, 8 Jul 2005 (UTC)

- Based on the argument stated by It's dot com, if this page gets deleted then so should all of those other pages that don't seem to be causing any trouble. I had my doubts about this page at first, but now I think we should keep it. Username-talk 16:33, 8 Jul 2005 (UTC) Username-talk 16:33, 8 Jul 2005 (UTC)
- Strong Bad Email By Length, Strong Bad Email By Name, and Strong Bad Email By Place are articles that sort the emails by a certain characteristic. Strong Bad Email Raps is about the Strong Bad Email menu. Strong Bad Email Intros and Strong Bad Email Page Titles display similar things that occur in each email that differ slightly from week to week or after a certain time. Strong Bad Email Statistics is an informational article.
- This article (Strong Bad Email Release Dates) as it was when this discussion started just listed the emails in chronological order. This was already done on the Strong Bad Email page and in the Recent Updates series of articles. We generally don't like to repeat information supplied elsewhere. I see now that the day of the week has been added. This is a good improvement. If the article was expanded to include some more of the information that It's dot com suggested, the article would further provide new information. I look forward to seeing what else we can do. -- Tom 16:44, 8 Jul 2005 (UTC)

sb email 22 note
And it's useful to talk about "the lost email" #22. I mean, would people back then figure little animal was email #22? -Gordon 584
- Good point. I've put the emails in the usual order with an asterisk that leads to the Fun Facts section. — It's dot com 16:40, 8 Jul 2005 (UTC)
