Logo
Man, the HRWiki logo on your user page looks awesome! The sysops should use that one time! --Stinkoman KTalk

- Thanks, but I didn't make that logo. I found it on someones talk page and decided I liked it. — talk Bubsty edits 19:03, 19 November 2005 (UTC)
- The discussion for that logo can be found in this archive. That discussion is now closed of course. --Stux 17:18, 20 November 2005 (UTC)
Have a good week
Good luck with your homework or whatever you have to do this week! Hope it goes well. --Stux 17:15, 21 November 2005 (UTC)
- Thanks. Yeah, it's just studying. I have quarter-finals this week. — talk Bubsty edits 05:13, 22 November 2005 (UTC)
Bubsty/sig and Bubsty/xmasig
I changed both of these sigs to Bubsty. The deletion template is ruining some talk pages, and if I delete them, there will be dead links everywhere. Homestar Coder 02:04, 28 November 2005 (UTC)
- Thanks. I was kinda wondering about that... what the crap happened? — talk Bubsty edits 02:05, 28 November 2005 (UTC)
pronounciatationmajig
is Bubsty prounounsed bub-stee or bub-sty (as in pig sty)-- Benol, aka Coach B 20:19, 22 November 2005 (UTC)
- I was wondering when/if someone would ask that. I say it's Bub-sty, but my sister swears its Bub-stee. Of course, since I made the name, what I say goes. I admit Bub-stee sounds better though. — talk Bubsty edits 01:05, 23 November 2005 (UTC)
well my username is pronounced Ben-ole, not Ben-ol. however, I recently found out that BENol is a high preformance racing oil.-- Benol, aka Coach B 03:16, 24 November 2005 (UTC)
- Oops. I always pronounced it "Ben-ol." My bad! — talk Bubsty edits 03:17, 24 November 2005 (UTC)
- Wait, wait; are you saying it should be, like, "¡Ben-Olé!"? Or are you just saying it should rhyme with "hole," not "all?" -AbdiViklas
- it should rhyme with "hole," not "all"--

RE 2 things
Two Things
- # 1: My name is Ben, and that picture is really old, like from 4th grade or something.
- # 2: Sorta yes, sorta no. go to http://atom.smasher.org/ and make some.--

Stinko man cheat like thing
Play Level 1 of stinko man to the end of part 1 of level 1, but don't go on to part 2. Now go back to the moutainish thing with all the enimes and the health pill. Now go to the top of it wrer a browntant was (the red shooty thing)And jump strait up (note you have to be on the laft side of the top platform) you should land on an invisible platform. then jump UP from the plat form and your health will increse (if you are not at full health)you can only do it once per game. I don't think this is on the stinko man 20x6 artical but I'm sure. I'm not good at editing so I didn't put it in.User:pieinbubsface/sig 20:04, 24 November 2005 (UTC)
Apologies
My apologies. The wiki I am from doesn't require people to discuss uncontroversial moves before hand. I'll be more considerate in the future. BrokenSegue 06:42, 25 November 2005 (UTC)
- "the wiki", Wikipedia. (Wikipedia:User:BrokenSegue, I'm an admin/sysop/op there) BrokenSegue 07:41, 27 November 2005 (UTC)
- I was gonna comment on this a while ago, but I just ... didn't. I I just wanted to mention, that I think the difference in culture between that wiki and ours is that almost nothing is an uncontroversial move. By that I mean that even the slightest letter, or slightest technical issue ensues into a "heated" debate. :) And that precision spills over into page names. I wish I had examples I could link to but I couldn't come up with any off the top of my head. So don't worry too much, it's just a cultural difference in some sense. And those usually lead to misunderstandings. That said, welcome to the wiki! --Stux 16:50, 27 November 2005 (UTC)
- Isn't our wiki really annoying that way? — talk Bubsty edits 01:11, 28 November 2005 (UTC)
- Yes, especially how you guys vote on Fun Facts and other things. If I have a fun fact, I'm just going to add it. If you don't think it's "fun" or "interesting" you can remove it with an explanation. I doubt people would come to blows over this. *sigh* Alright, I'll stop bothering you now. BrokenSegue 03:58, 28 November 2005 (UTC)
- I wouldn't. It's up to other people to STUFF fun facts. I believe the STUFF maker is furrykef, who's also a sysop at "your" wiki. — talk Bubsty edits 04:09, 28 November 2005 (UTC)
- (Edit conflict) Oh, you doubt? But actually I don't think it's annoying. Frustrating, at times, yes, but it's a byproduct of the fact that this is a fansite, focused on one body of work. At the Big Wiki the bioengineers don't give a crap about the literary historian's issues, neither of whom are particularly concerned about the hot topics in Balkan exports. Here, we're like, say, a bunch of Egyptologists all studing one dig site. Everybody has the same field of interest, and every edit is essentially peer-reviewed. Although this makes work slower, I think it ultimately makes it better. What our wiki culture lacks in spontaneity, perhaps, it makes up for in accuracy, which I think is ultimately a more desirable quality for a knowledge base.
- And BrokenSegue, I like Stux's mention of culture; it is essentially a cultural difference, and I hope, instead of being scared away by it, you ultimately get acclimated and think of it not as "you guys" but as "us." Also I apologize for just doing the very thing you're talking about—respond in a big way to a minor detail! —AbdiViklas 04:23, 28 November 2005 (UTC)
- Woah, hold your horses there Abdi. I lost you after that first sentence there. — talk Bubsty edits 04:25, 28 November 2005 (UTC)
- I may point out that Abdi has a history of making extremely lengthy (but still interesting) essay-like replies to a variety of topics... But it's all true. --DorianGray
- So I see. — talk Bubsty edits 04:36, 28 November 2005 (UTC)
- The Reader's Digest version: Yeah, HRWiki culture seems petty. But it means a better product. —AbdiViklas 04:42, 28 November 2005 (UTC)

NOTE: Apparently The Cat Atttack didn't want this talk on his/hers talk page, so it's going to be here as a reference. It's from this discussion.
sig?
Cat attack, I'm curious as to why you created "Your username/sig." If you want a sig, go ahead and use "The cat attack/sig" or something like that, which I see you've already done. — talk Bubsty edits 19:55, 25 November 2005 (UTC)
- Hi, welcome to the wiki! I am sorry that this feels like quite a barrage, but I would like to please ask you not to remove talk topics that are considered pending by other users. --Stux 20:04, 25 November 2005 (UTC)
- Sorry to keep bothering you, but on "Your User Name/sig" I would use {{Delete|the reason}} instead of "Tobedeleted." Once again, sorry. — talk Bubsty edits 19:59, 25 November 2005 (UTC)
- Also, The cat attack, the other one you made ("the cat attack/sig") isn't a proper subpage either. Notice that your username has a capital letter, whereas the page you made has a lowercase letter. I suggest you move it to a proper namespace. --DorianGray
- I think that this was done in error. I have marked the old page to be deleted, not the cat attack. --Stux 20:04, 25 November 2005 (UTC)
- I mean that "the cat attack/sig" isn't a real subpage. It doesn't have the <--User:The cat attack at the top, showing it's a subpage. The userspace is different. The Username says "The cat attack", but the subpage says "the cat attack", with the small T. It should be moved. --DorianGray
