Theater or Theatre?
"Theatre" isn't in my webster's dictionary. Should this be change to "theater"? --TheYellowDart—(t/c)
- "Theatre" is an alternate spelling that should appear in any good dictionary. - Qermaq - (T/C)

- Wiktionary confirms what I suspected: in US Englilsh, "theatre" primarily refers to live performances, while "theater" is usually used for cinema. I say this article should be moved to The Movie Theater.

- Interestingly, Theyellowdart this may explain why "theatre" doesn't appear in Mr. Webster's dictionary ;)

- Hmm, it'd be nice to find another source besides Wiktionary, but I do believe what it says there is correct, so I'd be good with supporting a move. Heimstern Läufer

- I couldn't find any distinction on oed.com or dictionary.com, but this source suggests that "theater" is better when referring to the building itself. Given the omission on the first two sources I checked, I suspect that it's probably not wrong to leave it as is, but it may be preferred.
