"20X6 Homestar getting a green nosebleed is a nod to the Anime clich� that excited or aroused people get nosebleeds or "hanaji"." - unlikely. The nosebleed in anime is always a metaphor for premature ejaculation. However, (as far as I know) in Japan it is considered rude to blow one's nose, and sniffing is considered more polite (the opposite of how things are in most western countries).
