:The reason I removed it was because the head of Stlunko is pretty generic to me. There's hundreds of different robots with those eyes/mouth ect., and as a rule of thumb, if it could refer to many things, it's not referring to anything at all. On the other hand, Battlestar Galactica is very popular and there is some similarity, but I'm not sure if it's enough to call it a reference. Gaspeau and Frotzer

I think it should be mentioned that the behavior of Gaspeau and Frotzer mimmics the behavior of the green koopa troopa and red koopa troopa in SMB, respectively. In that the former keeps going without stopping, and the latter goes back and forth over an area. --Stux 00:07, 29 October 2005 (UTC)

Is it limited to the Koopa? I smell a TTOTOT... or however you abbreviate that. - Joshua 00:52, 29 October 2005 (UTC)
There are hundreds of instances of this. And, it's pronounced TTAOT, Joshua. Rogue Leader / (my talk) 01:18, 29 October 2005 (UTC)
Isn't it TTATOT? This, that, and the other thing. — It's dot com 01:35, 29 October 2005 (UTC)
I thought that we took out the the. Rogue Leader / (my talk) 01:37, 29 October 2005 (UTC)
Hmm. I usually see it with the the. — It's dot com
I think I saw TTAOT in STUFF a couple of times. More to the point, side scrollers had many variations of enemies that you had to jump over and/or kill. Rogue Leader / (my talk) 01:48, 29 October 2005 (UTC)
Also on point, don't the different colored Shyguys in SMB2 behave the same way? — It's dot com 01:50, 29 October 2005 (UTC)
I thought that the colors were randomly generated. Rogue Leader / (my talk) 02:16, 29 October 2005 (UTC)
LOL whether TTOTOT or TTATOT or TTAOT ... I've definitely opened a can of worms! ;) As for SBM2, I don't remember it much... it was all a dream to me ;) -- so I don't know if the colors were randomly generated or not. I'd have to crack open my old Nintendo Powers and compare the behavior of the other enemies, but I don't have access to those right now. It's possible that the other SMB's and games in general emulate this behavior. --Stux 03:24, 29 October 2005 (UTC)

Flip! Jump! Spin! Sonic?

Stinkoman's flipping as he jumps may be a reference to Sonic The Hedgehog's Spin Jump.

Zero Wing

Am I the only one who noticed a similarity between level 8 and zero wing (The All Your Base game)?

No. I noticed. The Cutscene before level -0 has Stinkoman say "What happens?" which is from the cutscene for Zero Wing (What happen? Somebody set us up the bomb!)

Look at this. Now look at Jaro. See anything resembling? --Wooxa 08:30, 3 February 2007 (UTC)

Stlunko

I attempted to and that stlunko looks like a 1978 cylon, but it got deleted. He's got the head crest, red visor eye andd mouth ridge thing, come on!
