I thought it was interesting how SB is "obligated by law" to do anything that people ask him. Could this be a reference to [[sb_email_22]]? --[[User:ArgentAngel|ArgentAngel]] 04:55, 8 March 2006 (UTC) | I thought it was interesting how SB is "obligated by law" to do anything that people ask him. Transcribing
Is anyone trying to do the transcript right now? Cause if you thought I was going to do it, you're wrong. Stupid Flash player that I desperately need to get... — Has Matt? (talk) 15:20, 6 March 2006 (UTC)
Figures, I had time, thought you were going to do it, then I go to my next class where the computers don't have speakers and I find out I could've written the transcript.... can this wait like, 3 hours or so? I can get it then -User:StrongBaditude
Does Strong Bad look odd
His arms seem lower and his gloves seems bigger to me. Am I going mad, or has he been slightly redesigned? Lord-z 16:02, 6 March 2006 (UTC)
- Looks the same to me, but I'm mainly showing off the new siggy. - Qermaq - (T/C) 00:08, 7 March 2006 (UTC)
Yeah...I kinda noticed something wrong with his arms, and I think that is it. They seem to be slightly lower and more to his side/behind him.
- His boots look different too. This should be added to the character evolution page.

Email, eh?
Hmmm... That's surprising. I was expecting the special Flashforward intro cartoon... Perhaps they're going to save it for a week or two... ⇔Thunderbird⇔ 16:08, 6 March 2006 (UTC)
- Or they'll just keep it to themselves for an undisclosed amount of time, like a ton of other stuff they don't release on the site. Maybe if we're lucky they'll put it, or portions of it, on the DVD. —BazookaJoe 20:19, 6 March 2006 (UTC)
My first transcript
Three cheers for my first transcript! Hooray! Seriously though, I left out a whole lot of stuff. People should verify that my dialogue is accurate, check for spelling, punctuation, and grammar errors, and add details that I wasn't able to. This was basically an audio dump plus what I could remember from the toon so it's like written from my doodle memory.--Bobo the King 16:30, 6 March 2006 (UTC)
- Horray! You done a great JAEORB!!!! ⇔Thunderbird⇔ 16:43, 6 March 2006 (UTC)
- Woo-hoo! Congraturations! 'tis be great! 6 March 2006
Early
This email came out really early! I'm not sure what time zone they're in, but I'm in Central and it can't be that much of a difference. -Unknownwarrior33 16:49, 6 March 2006 (UTC)
- Georgia is EST. I don't know exactly when it went on the site, but the Wiki page went up about 9:30 their time. - Qermaq - (T/C) 16:50, 6 March 2006 (UTC)
Man you guys are lucky, here in new zealand H*R updates every tuesday! Hi Im the Cyberdemon. You know.. like the big monster from the populer game series "Doom".
I found the Homestar Runner Wiki by ACCIDENT while searching Senor Cardgage. I was curious to see whether or not there were real people with the same name.

It's Dot Matrix
An explanation of my (reverted) removal of the fact that The Printer is apparently dot matrix is in order. It's Dot Com, you're absolutely right. The printer that The Paper comes from is obviously a dot matrix. That's a very distinctive sound, and the appearance of the font clinches it. But my point is that the fact has nothing to do with this toon. We've known for years that it's a dot matrix. There's no new evidence presented by this picture of the printer.
On the other hand, if someone could find a specific model of printer that this new picture is based on, that would be noteworthy. But I've tried. As I expected, it resembles slightly every home-computer printer made in the mid-to-late-1980s, and resembles none of them exactly. --TheNicestGuy 21:34, 6 March 2006 (UTC)
- "what appears to be an Epson L-1000 dot matrix printer. The first time The Paper appeared out of a printer was in Email Processing Room."
- I'd say it more closely resembles an Epson LX-800. The cartoon printer does not have the smoked-translucent-plastic window that the L-1000 has.
Horse twees
You all know what that would mean, right? TBC are getting a little outside the okay zone. You following me? good. -Homfrog, not logged in 21:45, 6 March 2006 (UTC)

Technically, all she said was that he was a horse's bum. Any profanity would be purely speculation ;)Trelawney
Tejas
I'm kinda on the fence about the Tejas fact. On one hand, I agree that it should be mentioned that Strong Bad has pronounced "Texas" as "TEH-hahs" in the past, and the writer of the email may be directly referencing that. BUT: I think it's also important that people understand that "TEH-hahs" is not uniquely Strong Bad's pronunciation, but rather how "Texas" is pronounced in Spanish. The letters "x" and "j" have the same pronunciation in Spanish. — KieferSkunk (talk) — 22:19, 6 March 2006 (UTC)
- I also wanted to point out that here in Tejas, it's also spelled that way too on a lot of Spanish-language literature. — It's dot com 04:52, 7 March 2006 (UTC)
My bad
REMARKS:
- The caption "loose weight?" may be a reference to a common misspelling of the word "lose", altered from the more common "lose weight!" caption.
You know it's true. So quit cutting it!
- We're not arguing that it's false. But it is extremely obvious, and we don't note such obvious things as Fun Facts. Heimstern Läufer 01:57, 7 March 2006 (UTC)
- It's not funny if we have to explain it. --DorianGray
- Another common adage you'll see here on the wiki is: "That's the joke." — It's dot com 04:47, 7 March 2006 (UTC)
- It's not funny if we have to explain it. --DorianGray
But the fact that it's a "common" misspelling of the word "lose" means that there's a lot of people out there who won't get the joke. It'd be good to put that down here for those people.
A fantastic stretch
- "The Iron Sheik is a wrestler, and a former WWF Champion in the 1980s. Homestar's reference may be due to the similarity between the sound of the words Iron Sheik and 'Iron cheek', which in turn could be reinterpreted as Buns of Steel, the name of a series of workout videotapes."
I'm posting that here on the talk page so that I never forget it. I mean, I've seen some incredible stretches before, but I gotta say this one takes the cake. — It's dot com 04:42, 7 March 2006 (UTC)
- Such persistence in re-adding it, as well. — Lapper (talk) 04:45, 7 March 2006 (UTC)
- It's a stretch, no argument, but I don't think it's that bad. I've seen much worse. At least IMHO. --Jay (Gobble) 07:45, 7 March 2006 (UTC)
- I actually thought that the "sheik" ~ "cheek" part was an intended pun. Though I do agree about the extension to Buns of Steel... Trey56 07:58, 7 March 2006 (UTC)

Marzi Stewart?
Should we add that Marzipan's crafts are probably modeled after Martha Stewart? I think they are. Is that too obvious, not obvious enough...?Trelawney
- It's TTATOT. They're based on numerous craft how to shows. Martha Stewart would probably be the best known, but there are really so many that you'd have to have something more specific to call it a reference to Martha Stewart (For instance, Martha Stewart actually made something out of junk mail and kitty litter, or actually called her scissors "snip-snipperouskis"). As far as referencing how-to shows similar to Martha Stewart: Living, I think it's a bit too obvious to be worth mentioning. PolarBoy
It's Dot Benday
Strong Bad's comic strip does indeed use Benday dots. (Well, at least some overlay effect that's clearly supposed to look like Benday dots.) Benday dots are indeed the trademark of artist Wikipedia:Roy Lichtenstein. However, there's no clear connection between Lichtenstein and this toon. They're both referencing the same source, which is inexpensively printed and melodramatic color comic books/strips. Lichtenstein's only known for the technique because he exaggerated it and introduced it to high art. It had already been in use for decades. As for mentioning the Benday dots themselves, I don't see the point. Any artist trying to evoke a comic strip feel would be likely to use a similar effect. Note that they did it before on The Castlefunnies in old comics. --TheNicestGuy 07:41, 7 March 2006 (UTC)
- I'm copying your argument over to the STUFF page... Trey56 07:44, 7 March 2006 (UTC)

Yoga DVD
I could've sworn I heard "slip" or something in that sentence, not buy. But I guess they changed it.
