:Yes! I think you bring up a great point.  FoL should be disambiguated probably, between this page (that talks more about FoL and its neighbors from Yello Dello <s>-- perhaps to rename to "Far Off Lands (country)</s>"), and an overall description of the Far Off Lands mentioned (and linked to this page) from [[Places#Foreign_Lands]].  It should either have its own page or the link be removed. --[[User:Stux|Stux]] 15:22, 11 November 2005 (UTC)

This page states that Thomas is from Far Off Lands, but the term Mrs. Commanderson uses is "foreign lands". Should we differentiate? --Upsilon

Perhaps. I thought she said "Far Off". Perhaps we should remove it from the article, unless we want to merge the concept of foreign lands and Far off lands.-Drhaggis 11:29, 15 Nov 2004 (MST)

We should merge them. Room Temperature Ones are brewed in Foreign Lands. →FireBird

They shouldn't be merged. Foreign Lands and Far-Off Lands are two completely diferrent places; there's no proof otherwise. Think of the completely different analogy of Bubs' Concession Stand and Strong Badia. There's just no proof they're the same place (yes they're close, I know that). -Superdotman

I think that "Foreign Lands" and "Far off Lands" are similar enough to be included in the same article until we have a heck of a lot more info. Far Off lands are a specific case of Foreign Lands. They are both terms for places outside Free Country, USA which is fairly insular if the globe on Main Page 1 is any indication. - Dr Haggis - Talk 15:11, 11 Dec 2004 (MST)

True, but from what we've seen of Thomas' anatomy, Foreign Lands might be outside Free Country, USA, Earth. Far Off Lands is definitely on planet Earth. -Superdotman

Far Off Lands is its own country...

The map in "Yello Dello" clearly delineates the borders between the FOUR countries shown on the map: Far Off Lands, Dortugal, Prance, and Potamia.
