I see that this page needs a lot of cleanup.  I am wondering though, in which way should it be cleaned up?  I am thinking about capitalizing the table entries and including periods.  Also, I don't think it would hurt if the " " is taken out and things are actually repeated.  Some of the sentences need rewording, and in the Emails that spell Strong Bad/Strong Badia as one word, the note "But spells 'Strong Badia' correctly should be changed to just "Spells 'Strong Badia' correctly".

Table

Someone should make this page into a nice, good ol' table.

No, I think it's fine the way it is. --acekirby13 15:40, 7 May 2005 (UTC)

American/British spelling?

Hello;

I have seen, and not corrected, two instances of the word "labelled". This is the British spelling. Is there a localization preference?S Gleason 19:04, 21 Jun 2005 (UTC)

It may have been at least partially my fault. My dictionary lists both spellings as correct, but like you, it admits that the two-L'd version is more common in American English and the three-L'd in British. Since this is an American cartoon, we're supposed to use American spelling here in all cases (except transcripts, where SB misspells something on his computer or something like that), but I (and maybe others) simply didn't realize that one-L was right. My bad. Nobody's perfect. Go ahead and change it. --Jay (Gobble) 19:11, 21 Jun 2005 (UTC)
I change words like "favourite" to "favorite" on this site, to keep it "American." You know, unless it is necessary to be spelled with a "u." May as well change "labelled" to the American version too. —BazookaJoe 19:15, 21 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Thank you, both! I will use American spellings. S Gleason 20:34, 21 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Page Move'd?

Shouldn't this page be moved to "Spelling and Grammar"? "Poorly Written Emails" would be good too, since that's what's in the Strong Bad Email template. Either one would make more sense, since the whole page isn't just about spelling. Any other opinions? Has Matt? (talk) 04:56, 30 December 2005 (UTC)

You've got a point, Mr. Matt. I agree unless anyone else has a good reason the page shouldn't be moved. Heimstern Läufer 04:59, 30 December 2005 (UTC)
I can't think of one. I 'gree too, and have occasionally wondered the same thing myself. --DorianGray
Well, what should it be moved to, exactly? "Spelling and Grammar", "Poorly Written Emails", or something else? Has Matt? (talk) 22:30, 1 January 2006 (UTC)
Whatever, I'm gonna be bold and move it to Poorly Written Emails. If anyone objects, please speak up. Has Matt? (talk) 13:37, 27 January 2006 (UTC)

My Sister and Me

It's a common mistake, but it almost works. Retromaniac 00:13, 17 August 2006 (UTC)

Viklas

Um, shouldn't "little questions", which is the second most famous crappily written email (after homsar, of course), be somewhere in here? -Zero.exe

Emails with more than one mistake

Right now if an email has grammatical errors as well as misspellings, as many of them do, it appears to be randomly thrown under one of the three headings. I believes this negates the purposefor subdividing the mistakes. I can see three options as to fixing this problem. -Option 1: We place all the mistakes in one section. -Option 2: We add a section with multiple mistakes. -Option 3: We create a more orderly method of assignment. I.e if an email has bad grammer, misspellings, and leaves no space between Strong and Bad, it is filed under bad grammer.

Error table

Hey, I have an idea! Why not create a table that has emails on the left column, grammar errors on another, capitalization errors on another, mispellings on another, and poor puncuation on another? This way, we can only mention every poorly written email once.

Hey, that's a good idea! I agree with you too! It makes the article more easier to read than having all these random emails scattered all over the place. Somebody try to do it sometime. --Ang the Ephemeral
Well, I did it. I think it needs a bit of editing and more incorrections but I organized it all in a table. This revision I think is better.

How unorganized/crappy a page

Boy, I hope someone reads this. This "Poorly Written Emails" page needs fixed. A lot of the entries contain errors that don't belong (I'm seeing a lot of style errors) or errors in the wrong place (capitalization is mentioned under grammer/punctuation, for example). Also, I'm sure there are e-mails that aren't mentioned on this page that should be. This page needs a major revamp, but I'm not the one to do it. I don't really have the time, first off, and second, I'm too lazy. Does anyone (or anyones) think they could maybe tidy up this page??? I just thought this needed pointed out. Stick a {{cleanup}} on it, and someone's bound to notice and fix it. --DorianGray 05:38, 8 March 2007 (UTC)
Wow, he's right. I didn't even know we had this page. I may do it this Saturday if I have nothing else to do at work. —NFITC1talk 07:57, 8 March 2007 (UTC)
