The Brothers Chaps have made several references to the animated television sitcom The Simpsons, which they have cited in the past as one of their writing influences.
Appearances
- The House That Gave Sucky Treats
- The Knight's costume refers to the Simspons episode "$pringfield (Or, How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love Legalized Gambling)", in which Ralph Wiggum wears the exact same thing in a pageant for the United States.
- Weekly Fanstuff
- The Weekly Fanstuff for January 19, 2006 is three sousaphone bells painted with the image of Strong Bad's head over the Tandy screen. Tubamaba is a neologism from the Simpsons episode "Lisa's Sax", in which Homer Simpson uses it as a mispronounciation of the word saxophone.
- Needlepoint
- The page title is "Bless This Mess!", which is also a needlepoint picture seen in the closet of Ned Flanders.
