((1) isn't the second "check the" just the beginning of other places sb was thinking to ask the judges to check, instead of "the east german's pants" every time? (2) this phrasing seems to fit better.) |

In politics the terms East and West before a name refers to the region being divided in two. Occasionally in the Homestar Runner Universe these words are put before other words, often in strange ways.
Appearances
- Everybody to the Limit (Live) — The song is said to have been sung in West Rekjavik, whose neighbor is mentioned to be East Rekjavik.
- A poster of Everybody to the Limit Live with this town's name on it is seen later in Lappynapped!.
- Email old comics — A new-wave band named West is Lip is mentioned.
- Their poster reappears in Baddest of the Bands in Strong Sad's Room.
- Marzipan's Answering Machine Version 9.2 — A stop on the metaphorical "Alone Train" that Homestar tells Marzipan that she can ride is "West Breaking Up With You".
- Thy Dungeonman 3 — The town of Westerburg lies to the east.
- Email strong badathlon — Strong Bad frantically instructs the judges to check the East German's pants. East Germany has not existed since 1991, sixteen years before this email was made.
- Sick Day — Rotten Egglünd contains a location called East Stinkberger.
- Email licensed — Two names for the country that has changed names at least five times since Strong Bad was in the seventh grade are East Paunch and West Paunch.
- Homestar Ruiner — In this and all episodes after, wearing Homestar's Chef Hat will result in Strong Bad saying that The Cheat L'Orange is a delicacy in East Strong Badia.
- Strong Badia the Free — After political unrest, Homestar and Marzipan divide their country (since they can't decide whether it should officially be known as Marzistar or Homezipan) into both East Marzistar and East Homezipan.
- Additionally, a team that Strong Bad says he and The Cheat must scrimmage is the East Bulldogs.
