Sub-Pages
Hi Fire. I remember reading somewhere quite some time ago, (I think it was on your talk page), that Sub-Pages aren't allowed. Has this policy been changed, or did you get special permission? I'm just curious as to weather or no I too can create Sub-Pages. Thanks. ⇔Thunderbird⇔ 18:06, 6 May 2005 (UTC)
- Yessir, certain subpages are allowed, such as archiving your talk page. HRWiki:User page explains it all. →FireBird
Trogga
One more edit and it's blocking time? Heck, I'm ready right now. Let's face it, we have a Troll in our midst. A Troll in Gnome's clothing. So we're in agreement then? One more false move, and blockage? ⇔Thunderbird⇔ 01:07, 11 May 2005 (UTC)
- I think s/he's just sick of everyone complaining about his/her crappy edits. So yeah, one more bad edit and we should pull 'em outta here. →FireBird
- Well that was your decision to make. Personally, I think 48 hours was a bit harsh, since s/he seemed to be cooling off, and that s/he had already deleted the image. If s/he comes back after this, I would like to give him/her another *close watched* chance. I know s/he's done alot to wreck the wiki, but his/her large list of edits, many of them solid, does show that s/he cares about the wiki. S/he's just... a bit opinionated. In any case, I can't say for sure it was the wrong thing to do. It may be just what s/he needed. I guess time'll tell... ⇔Thunderbird⇔ 00:07, 12 May 2005 (UTC)
- I know s/he cares about the wiki, but maybe just a tad to much (as in, so much as to get stubborn and insulting). Just wanted to show that we're serious when we're talking about blocking. I think this will show him/her that s/he needs to stop when someone asks, especially when it's Joey and other sysops. We're not in preschool. →FireBird
- Again, we've threatened to ban him several times and he hasn't stopped. If you think it's too harsh, we could tone it down to 24 hours, but I feel that Trogga needs to know that if he doesn't stop he will get banned. →FireBird
- Wow, edit conflicted twice in a row. Quite the hot topic. Anyways, I respect your decision. Plus I am kinda relieved, that you made the decision for me. Although I did ask Tom about the whole thing shortly before you blocked Trogga, and he suggested 24 hours next time anything went wrong, which is what I would have gone with. If you wanna shorten it, I'm behind you. ⇔Thunderbird⇔ 00:59, 12 May 2005 (UTC)
- Okay. If Tom says 24 hours, 24 hours it is. →FireBird
Army-Style Mayo
Sorry about that, I didn't notice that you had changed the page to a redirect and reverted the page from a trolling, undoing your edit as well. --Gafaddict 13:50, 15 May 2005 (UTC)
- It's fine. I do that a lot, too. →FireBird
Siggie
Hey F-Bird. I just thought I'd pass a bit of Joey Day wisdom on to you about sigs. Have you tried the template meathod? Basically it lets you shorten your code left behind, and lets you change ALL your sigs at the same time. You just put your sig code on a subpage of your userpage, (e.g. 'User:FireBird/sig' or something). Then in your prefferances box, put —FireBird|Talk. And that's all there is to it. That way, you can keep your same sig, with your arrow not being linked and everything, and then be able to use the '~~~~' meathod, I think. You could even use the timestamp! And the whole code is in one, easily viewable, *protected* place. It sure changed my life man. Spread the word! ⇔Thunderbird⇔ 18:28, 20 May 2005 (UTC)
- I already did, just haven't posted any comments. Thanks, though. —FireBird|Talk
- By jove, you're right! A solid 18:28, 20 May 2005 - 05:22, 19 May 2005 ahead of me (Too lazy to do the math). So is that gonna be your new sig? I kinda liked your old one better. But that one's good too. ⇔Thunderbird⇔ 07:51, 21 May 2005 (UTC)
- That's a pretty good trick. I've done it with mine! «Rob» 08:05, 21 May 2005 (UTC)
- I dunno, I kinda miss the green. Makes it more distinguished from other sigs, easily noticible. Plus you've had it for so long, you'd loose all that history of it to change to something completely different suddenly. ⇔Thunderbird⇔ 06:11, 24 May 2005 (UTC)
- Oh, I just can't decide! I'll probably end of using this one, but I may switch back to my old one in time. Though I don't know if it makes it more distinguished from others, since a lot of people have green sigs now. =) —FireBird|Talk 12:04, 24 May 2005 (UTC)
Comment from SBEMAILER113
what was wrong with my idea? It is true. (sarry for changing it back. I'm stubern.)
- He was just singing a song. He doesn't really have a car. —FireBird|Talk
thanks for to help. --SBEMAILER113 21:12, 24 May 2005 (UTC)
I'm going to refras my coment and try agin.(sary for my bad spelling as you have noted.)
- Huh? —FireBird|Talk 21:18, 24 May 2005 (UTC)
let me try again. I'm going to rephrase my comment and try again.(sorry for my bad spelling as you have noted.)Thanks again for all the help. I hope we can be frinds :^). --SBEMAILER113 21:31, 24 May 2005 (UTC)
- Oh, don't take this the wrong way- we're still friends. But I don't think the fun fact needs to be put there at all. Just because he mentions a car doesn't mean he has one or has anything to do with this email. —FireBird|Talk 21:32, 24 May 2005 (UTC)
H.Fairstival left/right "goof"
Just clear me up on the definition of a goof here. Do we define a goof as "a mistake a character made" or as "a mistake TBC made", or both? In which ca...I think I just nullified my own edit of the Hallowe'en Fairstival page with that arguement!
Either way, the original question still stands.
Cheers, - Tweek
- Well, any goof a character made, TBC made. I say keep it, because it is definately a goof. He points to his right when he says left, and points to the left when he says right. —FireBird|Talk
- "Well, any goof a character made, TBC made"...I'm not sure I agree with that. TBC could well have intentionally made Bubs mix up his left/right to show that he, like most H*R characters, isn't the smartest of souls. Heck, Bubs might have even intended to do that anyway, in that he thought the audience would find it funny. I'm thinking waaay too much in to this now. I'll go and edit things that don't require so much concentration - Tweek
time capsule
why?
- Because they are not. —FireBird|Talk 12:26, 24 May 2005 (UTC)
- but they are, though.
- No, they aren't. If I'm not mistaking, TBC use a saved design of Homestar to use over and over. Why would he have different eyes now? —FireBird|Talk 16:43, 24 May 2005 (UTC)
