Hey, Yeltensic, welcome to the Homestar Runner Wiki! We can always use new registered users around here, so I'm glad you're on. A word of warning, though: Before you do any major editing, you'll want to read up on our editing standards. And if this is the first MediaWiki based wiki (or first wiki) you've used check out the MediaWiki User's Guide, or for quick reference, our Help:Editing page. If you have any questions that aren't answered on our FAQ, post them on its talk page, or you can ask me directly. Most people here are pretty good about assuming stupidity [read: ignorance] rather than malice. — User:ACupOfCoffee@ 05:17, 12 January 2006 (UTC)

Guestbooks

I just thought I'd ask, since we're friends and you've got a guestbook if you would sign my petition to keep our sweet guestbook freedom. Check out my talk page for the whole deal. Darth Katana X (discussionitem_icon.gif user.gif mail_icon.gif)

i agree with darth, although really think about it. rad the whole discussion. Seriously (Talk) 14:47, 24 January 2006 (UTC)

um, i strongly suggest rewording your remark on the guestbook discussion page. it is very rude, and even if your new here, (which i am unsure of, but still) you should know that kind of stuff is unnacceptable on the wiki. Seriously (Talk) 14:57, 24 January 2006 (UTC)

Thank you. --Stux 17:50, 24 January 2006 (UTC)
um, you might also want to be a little nicer to it's dot com. you just seem to be a bit harassing. Seriously (Talk) 23:51, 24 January 2006 (UTC)
The main page talk is not a personal bulletin board. And there's no need for publicity on this issue, because we have notices at the top of the recent changes, watchlists, and the sign-in page. That entire page is dedicated to talking about it. — It's dot com 21:23, 26 January 2006 (UTC)
But it wasn't a *personal* bulletin, an example of that would be an announcement of how my life's been going, but not this, a matter that others are involved in on this site. The only way it might be considered "personal" is that the thing being announced happened to be on my userpage. And I know it's already being discussed, this was just to see how many names would end up on the list. Yeltensic Save the guestbooks 21:29, 26 January 2006 (UTC)
Directing people to your user page makes it a personal message, and, as I mentioned above, we don't need more notices on this topic. You have been using the "save the guestbooks" link for several days, and I think the relative lack of posts here on your talk page indicates that everyone who is going to weigh in has probably already done so. — It's dot com 21:41, 26 January 2006 (UTC)
