Itchin to know the lyrics to "Strong Sad Rocks Out" by The Skate Party, so if anyone knows them, please post it! Homestramy20 06:15, 20 Aug 2005 (UTC)

Yeah I got a question for anybody, how to you add pictures to your user page? I can't fuigure it out- Homestramy20 06:15, 20 Aug 2005 (UTC)

Glad to help you out! First off, you need to find an image that you like. The best place for you to look for one is at Cheatachu72's User Page. When you find the image, click on it. You will see the name title on the title of the page. Put two brackets on the side and you will be done! here is an example of what you should do. Ohh okay thanks :D I think I got it now Homestramy20 06:15, 20 Aug 2005 (UTC)

Hi Kelsey. I'm so pleased that you're contributing here at the wiki. I see that you want to be a graphic designer. I'm a graphic designer, too! I'm actually here at the printing company where I work. What software do you use? Illustrator? Photoshop? InDesign? QuarkXPress? Those are the main ones we have here. Anydangways, I wanted to bring your attention to the "Show preview" button in the editing window. It allows you to see your changes, but doesn't make a new entry in the recent changes list. Take a look at that link real quick and you'll see what I mean. Also, when you want to sign your name, just type four tildes, like this: ~~~~. That will insert your signature and a timestamp, like this: It's dot com 05:00, 20 Aug 2005 (UTC)

Now i'm learning about Paint Shop Pro 9 Homestramy20 04:31, 24 Aug 2005 (UTC)

Oh yeah thanks i'll have to look into that, but I really don't know much about that stuff, you might have to help me a bit. Again, I get confused easily. But thanks for the signiture info! Homestramy20 06:15, 20 Aug 2005 (UTC)

Hmm... It didn't quite work. You should see a link to your user page, like this: Homestramy20. Try typing four tildes again below, and then hit "Show preview". If it works, you'll see a link. Then hit "Save page". — It's dot com

I tried it like 10000000000 times! It won't work... i'll try again Homestaramy20 05:20, 20 Aug 2005 (UTC) nope, still wont work.

Let's go to the sandbox. Click on that link and make an edit. I'll meet you there. — It's dot com 05:25, 20 Aug 2005 (UTC)

This is frustrating Homestaramy20 05:27, 20 Aug 2005 (UTC)

Got it! Homestramy20 06:12, 20 Aug 2005 (UTC)

*whew* Well, that was fun. I'm glad we found the problem. If you need any further help, feel free to ask me. Here are some links if you need them:

Alright! Thanks Alot! Homestramy20 06:24, 20 Aug 2005 (UTC)

Graphic programs

Hey, It's dot com, which of those four programs you talked about earlier are best for beginners? Homestramy20 17:32, 20 Aug 2005 (UTC)

Well, I would say Adobe Photoshop. It really depends on what kind of stuff you want to do. What kind of stuff do you want to do? — It's dot com 18:05, 20 Aug 2005 (UTC)

Umm, I really want to get into the graphics, so is Adobe Photoshop for just photos or graphics? Homestramy20 18:13, 20 Aug 2005 (UTC)

Photoshop is an extremely versatile and powerful program. It's not just for photos. Describe what you mean by "graphics", and list the kinds of projects you'd want to work on. Posters, the Web, what? — It's dot com 18:24, 20 Aug 2005 (UTC)
P.S. Okay, it's tip time again. When you reply, you might find it easier not to click the "edit" button at the top ↑... Instead, click the one over on the right side of the page → → next to this section. That way, you can edit this section without having to wade through everything above it.

Okay thanks. Well I just want to learn how to do like graphics and make them move (somewhat like on the Homestar website). Homestramy20 18:31, 20 Aug 2005 (UTC)

Oh, so you mean animation. Well, I'm not all that familiar with animation programs, but I know that H*R is built using Macromedia Flash. It too is a very powerful program. I don't know what a good starter program would be. — It's dot com 18:39, 20 Aug 2005 (UTC)

Yes, thats what I was thinking about. Thank you for your time It's dot com. Homestramy20 18:49, 20 Aug 2005 (UTC)

Macromedia flash is a great program. I use it all the time. I have some of the cartoons at my user page if you wanna play and have a look at them. --– Pertmywert (Talk·Edits) 22:45, 20 Aug 2005 (UTC)

Hey, thanks! Homestramy20 07:07, 22 Aug 2005 (UTC)

Fanstuff

Hey, Kelsey. How are ya? Did you know we have a fanstuff wiki? They've got like, I dunno, at least dozens of transcripts similar to yours. I know they would want to see yours there also. You should check it out when you get a chance. — It's dot com 01:56, 23 Aug 2005 (UTC)

Really? Man, I didn't know that.... How do you put on your, like story? Homestramy20 02:03, 23 Aug 2005 (UTC)

I honestly don't know. I hardly spend any time there. Joshua is an admin there. I bet he can help you. Here's his fanstuff talk page. Also, read the guidelines and whatnot, I suppose. Hope that helps! — It's dot com 02:12, 23 Aug 2005 (UTC)
P.S. I'm confused... who made this edit back in July?

Heh... I was new, and, uh, didn't know what the heck I was really talking about. Sorry for the confusion Homestramy20 02:15, 23 Aug 2005 (UTC)

Okay, before I teach you how to move it to the Fanstuff Wiki, you need to format it correctly so it doesn't break fanstuff rules. It needs to be formatted like this:

{Strong Bad is sitting at his Lappy 486 answering an email. The email reads:}

STRONG BAD: {reads the email as is} Hmm... Stewart. I don't think I've ever been bungie jumping. Probably because I'm not a COMPLETE MORON!!

{Strong Mad comes up behind Strong Bad, over hearing the him reading the email.}

STRONG MAD: GO BUNGIE JUMPING! GO BUNGIE JUMPING!

See? First you need to format your story just like that. (except for the blockquote, which is optional.) Finish that, then I'll help you with the next step. - Joshua

Okay, will do. Just give me a while because i'm a little busy right now to do it. Homestramy20 18:04, 27 Aug 2005 (UTC)

There, joshua, done and done. Now, do ya think you might be able to help me move it to fanstuff wiki? Homestramy20 03:22, 28 Aug 2005 (UTC)

It's possible that Joshua isn't watching your page for a reply. Or he could be out of town or something for the weekend. To be sure, you should leave the note above ("done and done") on his talk page under your original request for help, so he will know to look here again. — It's dot com 00:48, 29 Aug 2005 (UTC)

Oh, don't I feel like an idiot... Homestramy20 00:50, 29 Aug 2005 (UTC)

Alright, now that it's not breaking any rules, I'll explain how to add it to the fanstuff. First get an account there so you won't be annonymous. Then visit the page that you want to post your fan fic on. (Change the "Main Page" part of the URL to the fan fic's title.) Once you post your page, add a link to it on the "Fan Fics" section of the Fanstuff Wiki in alphabetical order. It's just that simple. - Joshua

Okay, first of all, whats an URL? Homestramy20 01:36, 29 Aug 2005 (UTC)

A U.R.L. is an Internet address. The URL of this page is "http://www.hrwiki.org/index.php/User_talk:Homestramy20". The URL of the fanstuff is "http://fanstuff.hrwiki.org/index.php/Main_Page", so when he said change "Main Page" to your fan fic's title, he meant type in "http://fanstuff.hrwiki.org/index.php/bungee_jumping", or whatever your title is. (Notice the correct spelling of "bungee", if that matters). If you do that, it will open up a blank page where you can copy and save your story. — It's dot com 12:52, 29 Aug 2005 (UTC)
Get an account in the fanstuff and I'll be able to help you there, where talk like this should be. - Joshua

I already had an account, but thanks. I got it now Homestramy20 21:56, 29 Aug 2005 (UTC)

How do you make your signiture all colorful and diffrent? I see lots of wiki users do it, but I don't know how they did it- Homestramy20 09:09, 29 Aug 2005 (UTC)

I spelled out some instructions for another user who asked me the same question. I hope they can help you, too! —THE PAPER PREEEOW 06:46, 30 Aug 2005 (UTC)

Great! Thanks alot! Homestramy20 06:48, 30 Aug 2005 (UTC)

You're welcome. If you get stuck along the way, just ask. I'll do my best. Try making this page to begin creating it. —THE PAPER PREEEOW 06:55, 30 Aug 2005 (UTC)

I fixed it up. Remember you only want it to appear once on that page. —THE PAPER PREEEOW 07:26, 30 Aug 2005 (UTC)

Oh, yeah thanks. And sorry, I was jsut trying to fuigure it out. Much appriciated. Homestramy20|Talk

No problem. Now, what's left for you to do is head over to "preferences" and where it says Your nickname (for signatures), put {{User:Homestramy20/sig}} in the box. Then put a check mark in the box "Raw signatures". Next, click "Save Preferences". Then when you want to use your sig, just type ~~~~ or use the button_sig.png button. That should just about cover it. —THE PAPER PREEEOW 07:40, 30 Aug 2005 (UTC)

Yay! It's over! Homestramy20|Talk 07:58, 30 Aug 2005 (UTC)

Nope, wait what is that?^ Homestramy20|Talk 08:35, 30 Aug 2005 (UTC)

I fixed the bug that was making the date show up all funny (it should be correct now above). Basically, I made sure that every <font> tag had a matching </font> tag to close it, and I checked that everything was in the right order. Sorry I couldn't help you set it up earlier. I certainly would have, except that I like to be asleep at three o'clock in the morning! ;) What time zone are you in, anyway? Was it daylight, or were you up past your bedtime? — It's dot com 13:47, 30 Aug 2005 (UTC)

Well, im in BC right now, so it was about 1:30-2:00 in the morning. You fuigure it out, because I'm not sure what time zone I'm in. But thank you anyways for fixing the bug, because I wouldn't of been able to fix it myself:P Homestramy20|Talk 21:45, 30 Aug 2005 (UTC)

Welcoming people

Hey Homestarmy20, I noticed you have welcomed Thesmokingmonkey, when, in fact, he has already been welcomed once and he eventually deleted it. Please try to be more careful next time. :) —BazookaJoe 04:51, 2 Sep 2005 (UTC)
