That's the second biggest stretch I've ever seen!
Would you believe I nearly added that "This is about... the second or third to worst contest I ever heard of." as a Get Smart reference? Luckily it missed the article by this much. --phlip TC 09:48, 4 April 2006 (UTC)
The Last SBEMail?
Perhaps I'm jumping the gun, but given the song at the end, and the length and "recurring characters" show... anyone else think that the one who suggested a while back that SBEMail #150 might be the last of them is correct? I hope not, but if it *is*, it's quite a sendoff. I particularly liked this one. -YK 10:18, 4 April 2006 (UTC)
Why would The Paper tell us to send Strong Bad more emails if it was the last?--DumDe 10:34, 4 April 2006 (UTC)
I was a little worried too. But coming to think of it, TBC are doing it for a living right? So they probably won't blow up their source of income. Cisz 12:52 CET, 04-04-06

Dudes.... this is the 150th email. Of course they're doing something special for it. --King Nintendoid 15:28, 4 April 2006 (UTC)
voip
why this went away?

Anybody know whether or not VoIP is or should be considered for a running gag? I know it has also appeared in TGS (#1, I think), but I can't think of anything else. GillanTheVillain 15:23, 4 April 2006 (UTC)
Da Huuuuudge
This is the first time we hear da huuuudge talk or speak. Okay with that, yeah? Homfrog 11:47, 4 April 2006 (UTC)
Wow...
Loved it. I am a sucker for big-scale reunion bits. Just yesterday I was reading the Twin Characters page and thinking, "I wonder if we'll ever see Strong Bad go back in time and coexist with Old-Timey Strong Bad?". — Bill (Talk | contribs) 12:09, 4 April, 2006 (UTC) (left unsigned)
- This has now replaced rock opera as my favorite email of all-time. It pretty much more than made up for the April Fool's prank(s). — Has Matt? (talk) 12:36, 4 April 2006 (UTC)
What it is, my Doge?
Is it worth mentioning that Doge was the title of the rulers of Venice or Genoa? Silly Dan 12:39, 4 April 2006 (UTC)
- Probably not. The word was previously used in Biz Cas Fri 1 and was removed from that toon's page as a fact. — Has Matt? (talk) 12:42, 4 April 2006 (UTC)
Total Load
I wonder what the "TOTAL LOAD" is (one of the ingredients of Homestar's "real fruit smoothie"). Is it whey protein, or some similar nutritional supplement? At least, that's what the container looks like to me. Trey56 14:03, 4 April 2006 (UTC)
I think it's Mayonaise, for some unknown reason.. --Coach J 14:40, 4 April 2006 (UTC)
- Mayonnaise? No, given the context and its appearance, I think it is clearly meant to represent a tub of weight-gain protein powder such as you would find at GNC or a high-priced gym. I'm intrigued by the "Total Load" label, though. As far as I can tell, this is not an actual brand name—I'd be surprised if it were. But the phrase sounds familiar, like it was an insult somebody used... somewhere... sometime... --TheNicestGuy 15:25, 4 April 2006 (UTC)
- Perhaps you were thinking of Jeffery Parsons' work on sediment delivered to the mouth of a river. ;)

- Perhaps you were thinking of Jeffery Parsons' work on sediment delivered to the mouth of a river. ;)
- Nah, I was probably thinking of the combined impedances of speaker drivers wired in series. Or more likely, I was thinking of one of the death messages from Space Quest III: "Thanks, you've been a real pantload." --TheNicestGuy 16:24, 4 April 2006 (UTC)
- Or maybe "Man, Strong Sad, that's a real load right there. A real load!"... --phlip TC 16:26, 4 April 2006 (UTC)
Made-Up Strong Bad Animals
Anybody find it strange they would use TWO of the Made-Up Strong Bad Animals (Sterrence and Da Huuuuuudge), yet have no mention of the Monstrosity, Deep Sea Fangly Fish, The Red Steckled Elbermung, etc. I guess they really liked Da Huuuuuudge or something. ⇔Thunderbird⇔ 16:22, 4 April 2006 (UTC)
- Well, how can you not like Da Huuuuuudge? --DorianGray
Coach Z's Voice
Did anyone else think Coach Z's voice was off in this cartoon? -Ben Mo
- Not really; I think he's just supposed to sound really freaked out/panicked in that scene... it's pretty similar to how he sounded when he thought he "killed" Strong Sad in Folky Tales. -

Music
"The music in the Strong Badman comic is from action figure."
Wasn't it also reused in suntan, and should this be noted? The Lyrical Wondermind 16:38, 4 April 2006 (UTC)
Senor Cardgage Fishing Easter Egg-- Connection?
The odd "echo" sound effect heard in the fishing easter egg is also used in the first episode of the mockumentary TV series "Fishing with John", by actor/musician John Lurie.
I'm assuming that this is a stock sound effect, and simply a coincidence. To my knowledge, the similarities end with the sound itself and "fishing". But as a fan of both homestarrunner.com and Fishing with John, it made me laugh.
Fishing with John seems like the kind of indie/cult television show that could be referenced by HSR, though.
Anyone else think of this?
