Most of the time, Strong Bad's mouth is in a slight frown, but there have been a few times when he has turned that frown upside-down, especially at the expense of others.

• The Secrets That I Keep: Lil' Strong Bad smiles for the camera, as does young Strong Sad.
• A Jorb Well Done: Snickers and then bursts out laughing as he, Strong Mad and The Cheat ridicule Coach Z for not being able to say "job".
• The House That Gave Sucky Treats: If you select the steak to give to Marzipan for her treat, you can see Strong Bad grinning as he sneaks a few more steaks into Marzipan's bag.
• Email stand-up: Lil' Strong Bad grins nervously while doing stand-up comedic stuff (with disastrous results).
• Email suntan: Grins at Marzipan after drawing abs on his stomach.
• New Boots: Powered By The Cheat Strong Bad smiles after bringing The Cheat his favorite food.
• Email for kids: We see Strong Bad smiling into the camera on his TV show.
• Email montage: During his date with the Wagon Fulla Pancakes.
• A sketchbook item pictured an extremely happy and smiling "Wrestleman" version of Strong Bad.
• Email origins: Lil' Strong Bad smiles after he gets a drill for his birthday (this explains how Strong Sad got his belly button).
