I think this page is a good idea, but it could use a better title. Maybe the King Of Town's Foodstuffs or something. Also, it definately needs a lot of editing and more content. --The Lurker 23:16, 8 May 2005 (UTC)

The King Of Town's Food sounds good. And it is maturing into a decent article now, but I made that first comment shorty after the article was created. The format wasn't great and there was very little content. --The Lurker 02:49, 16 May 2005 (UTC)

Imply vs. Infer

My change to fishsticks was reverted because it "didn't change the meaning". But I know the difference between implication (something done by the speaker) and inference (something done by the listener).

What I am getting at, is that we don't really know that the Prince of Town gained weight specifically from the lifetime supply of fishsticks (as opposed to, say, anything else), or that TBC implied this was definitely the case. However, we seem to have inferred it.

Ah, if that's what you are saying then it should definitely be "imply" as the whole point of the easter egg is that implication. — Defender1031*Talk 04:27, 26 August 2007 (UTC)

There really isn't anything to suggest that it was those specific fish sticks that made the king so weighty. The easter egg more or less is just the early beginnings of his over-eating. If the fish sticks were the only extra large portion of something he'd eaten between then and now, he probably would have worn it off already (depending on how long ago flashback is supposed to be). We can say "it is implied that the then svelt, young Prince of Town kept the fishsticks, starting him on the road to his now trademark eating habits." But to say the fishsticks are why he's so fat now is guesswork, and unlikely.--.Johnny Jupiter! ^talk _cont 05:32, 26 August 2007 (UTC)

How impatient! It's not even been a year. Seriously! But, ummm, seriously, maybe we should merge that section into this article. So we keep this article and reduce the section to a link here. And maybe remove the word "favorite" from the section title. Loafing 23:21, 14 October 2008 (UTC)
