It has been suggested that the content of the page this talk page accompanies should not be a separate article on the wiki.

  • Please discuss below whether the content of the page should have its own article. Remember to consider ways the content could be brought up to the wiki's standards before making this determination.

If it is decided that the content should not have its own article, then the following additional issues need to be addressed:

  • Whether to merge the content with another page or remove it entirely.
  • Whether to redirect the leftover page or delete it outright.

As per the inclusion guideline, "Page relating to a H*R-specific item needs only one appearance in Homestar Runner toons, as long as it played an important role." The tomatocycle is certain HR specific, and I would argue it had an important role: It was shown twice, beginning and end (and had done something interesting, namely, falling apart, between these appearances), it was specifically focused on, when Strong Mad pulled it out and the toon zoomed in on it, and the page title referred to it specifically and by name. A couple passing glances is not an important role by any stretch. If he had been holding a banana, it would have had little to no bearing on the main content of the toon at all. delete 98.222.134.36 22:59, 22 April 2009 (UTC)
Yeah, but the fact is he did NOT hold up a banana. The title references it, so it must be important to the Chapmans. It even got a close up. How is that a passing glance? --Jellote 09:58, 23 April 2009 (UTC)
Neither of those facts constitute a important role in the toon. As of now, it's a one off gag. I'm not saying we shouldn't document the Tomatocycle, but there simply isn't enough interesting content about it to warrant a page. 98.222.134.36 13:13, 23 April 2009 (UTC)
