Talk:Tomatocycle
From Homestar Runner Wiki
I think this is an important item, at least as important as The Blue Ones, but what do you think? --Jellote 22:16, 20 April 2009 (UTC)
- it has only one appearance. It doesn't deserve a page.--

- If it gets another appearance in the next ten toons, we should keep it. If not, bye bye.Doctorwho295 14:37, 22 April 2009
- As per the inclusion guideline, "Page relating to a H*R-specific item needs only one appearance in Homestar Runner toons, as long as it played an important role." The tomatocycle is certain HR specific, and I would argue it had an important role: It was shown twice, beginning and end (and had done something interesting, namely, falling apart, between these appearances), it was specifically focused on, when Strong Mad pulled it out and the toon zoomed in on it, and the page title referred to it specifically and by name. Definitely enough for a page, I think. -170.223.0.55 20:58, 22 April 2009 (UTC)
- A couple passing glances is not an important role by any stretch. If he had been holding a banana, it would have had little to no bearing on the main content of the toon at all. delete 98.222.134.36 22:59, 22 April 2009 (UTC)
- Yeah, but the fact is he did NOT hold up a banana. The title references it, so it must be important to the Chapmans. It even got a close up. How is that a passing glance? --Jellote 09:58, 23 April 2009 (UTC)
- Neither of those facts constitute a important role in the toon. As of now, it's a one off gag. I'm not saying we shouldn't document the Tomatocycle, but there simply isn't enough interesting content about it to warrant a page. 98.222.134.36 13:13, 23 April 2009 (UTC)
- Exactly, this is the first time we have ever seen this item. We'll just have to wait till the next toon, for now Delete--

- Just to note, for the precedent regarding articles about HR-specific objects that have appeared only once, one might glance at these couple of discussions: [1], [2], [3] -128.103.10.135 16:26, 23 April 2009 (UTC)
- Delete that mess. It's there for maybe five seconds as a one-off joke; the page title is just as one-off. No reason this deserves its own page yet.--Big Dog 21:59, 23 April 2009 (UTC)
