Many times The Cheat has been mentioned to be edible, though never has there ever been any evidence that someone has attempted this.

- Where's The Cheat — Coach Z thinks the King of Town has gone mad with power and is going to eat The Cheat upon seeing the King standing over The Cheat, who was asleep at the time in The King of Town's Grill. He and Strong Mad attack the King for this. Strong Bad interrupts this by saying "Hang on everybody. The King of Town was not going to eat The Cheat."
- Email narrator — The film "Lugnut & Squeak", according to Strong Bad, was from the creators of "I'm Surprised Strong Mad Hasn't Eaten The Cheat by Now".
- Email secret recipes — Strong Bad attempts to give the senders of the email a recipe for cooking The Cheat. In an Easter egg, The Cheat attempts to gain revenge by reading up on "How to Cook a Wrestleman".
- Strong Badia the Free — Upon examining the fishbone in the King of Town's Castle a few times, Strong Bad will compare it to the time he got all of The Cheat to fit in Strong Mad's mouth.
- Dangeresque 3: The Criminal Projective — When putting on Homestar's Chef Hat, Strong Bad will imitate a cooking show host, saying that they will be making The Cheat L'Orange.
- In a Sketchbook entry, it is suggested that The Cheat's nightmares typically consist of him being eaten by the Poopsmith.
