Talk:The Proud Anselmo
From Homestar Runner Wiki
I really don't think this page is needed, as it is pretty much all covered here and here. Any new content could be copied over into SBASAF's page. - Joshua 17:20, 26 November 2005 (UTC)
- I agree. everything is arleady there. — Elcool (talk)(contribs) 17:29, 26 November 2005 (UTC)
- Same here. I've tagged it. - Kookykman

NOT NEED'D! — talk Bubsty edits 02:10, 28 November 2005 (UTC)- I dunno, I kind of like this page. It makes all of the information easily accessible so you don't have to look at both space program and SBASAF to find it all. I say keep.

- Actully, after reading through SBASAF and this page a few more times, I dissagree with my self. — talk Bubsty edits 02:24, 28 November 2005 (UTC)
- I too agree with Username. Why have all the information about this topic be displayed on two different pages? It's obviously a valid page. Homestramy20|Talk 02:36, 28 November 2005 (UTC)
- Redundancy can be a time-saver for the reader, but it's a real headache to maintain parallel copies. I guess it comes down to how diligent the keepers want to be! Bill 14:55, 30 November 2005 (UTC)

- Bubsty, I know you're just kidding, but let's not even joke in a user-attacking way, eh? The article is the issue, not people. Aaand on topic... I'm undecided. —AbdiViklas 03:33, 28 November 2005 (UTC)

- I'd rather see the information about the Anselmo here, in this page and have the SBASAF refer to it. We can cut a little bit of the overlap, but I'm not too concerned as I don't see the facts changing (I don't think TBC would go back and change the toon) and so both pages needing major changes is rather... um ... unlikely. --Stux 14:53, 1 December 2005 (UTC)

- I wasn't thinking so much of the toon changing, but rather of the possibility that a new cartoon will make a back reference which might elicit an edit to the wiki entries. — Bill 16:01, 1 December 2005 (UTC)
- Oh! good point! Well, we can take some of the overlap out of this page. I still think that either this page should stay but if not, be simply redirected to SBASAF instead of merely deleted. --Stux 19:57, 1 December 2005 (UTC)
KeepitKeepitKeepitKeepitKeepit!!!! PLEASE? !!!! Homfrog 21:45, 3 December 2005 (UTC)
- It has some nice content. Longer than most one time appearance articles. Keep it. Rogue Leader / (my talk) 04:39, 4 December 2005 (UTC)

Then and now...
Well, if we do keep the article (which I highly think we should) we should use two pictures: the picture we currently have of the crappily manufactured "fleet," and Strong Bad's portrayal of The Proud Anselmo (as a decent-looking ship) seen in the slideshow. Unfortunately, I can't get the latter image, so I would need someone else to capture it and upload it. ♥ teeeffoh! 19:01, 4 December 2005 (UTC)

Precious Cargo
Citing the transcript of space program:
STRONG BAD: {holding a Speak & Spell} According to my ca-cuh-lations, our precious cargo should have already multiplied to about 50 bucks!
{Strong Mad walks away behind the fence and sits down, looking dejected.}
THE CHEAT: {holding up a CD labeled "SOUND F/X (not sounds from that movie F/X)"} {The Cheat noises}
STRONG BAD: Oh, right. We spent the precious cargo on that sound effect CD.
The context should be clear - they no longer have the $15, so it cannot be considered cargo. - Qermaq - (T/C) 02:12, 14 July 2006 (UTC)
A request.
Can you get the screenshots of the "rooms" inside the Proud Anselmo? I want them for 2 reasons: This page could use the screenshots, and I want to make a Proud Anselmo playset using the "rooms" as refrence.
- I don't think anybody will keep you from creating your own screenshots and using them for your playsets or uploading them here. Loafing

I won't upload the playset! I just also want the screenshots so we can see the rooms of the Proud Anselmo without having to constantly watch cliffhangers.
Thirsty Anselmo
Although the allusion to Phil Anselmo was likely intentional, the choice of the phrase "Proud Anselmo" is informed by an old comedic poem about a sad-sack Crusader. See here for some details.
Tony Anselmo
This is probably a long shot, but I just figured that another reference to The Proud Anselmo is that it could be a reference to Tony Anselmo, the actor that currently voices Wikipedia:Donald Duck. Sorry, I just had to get that off my chest. MHarrington 04:10, 21 October 2007 (UTC)
