Hello!
There is no talk? Wow! Anyway, I'd like to ask why there is no mention of the blues intro that Strong Bad gives at the beginning of this email!?
--Stux 03:25, 27 Sep 2005 (UTC)
That ain't the blues, that's Elvis. The Heartbreak...Hotel...Yeah...I'ma gunna add that now!
- Actually, the opening riff is a pretty standard blues lick... 06:00, 6 May 2006 (UTC)
- Ooooh! Good ear! Don't forget where Elvis got his roots though! Jazz and Blues of course! --Stux 00:10, 2 Oct 2005 (UTC)
Muumuus?
What the pants is a muumuu?
- A muumuu is a loose dress of Hawaiian origin. They tend to be rather wide too. They're not as popular as the Aloha shirt, but they're still popular with tourists. See also the Wikipedia article. --DorianGray
Heartbreak Hotel
Sorry, but the intro song is nothing like Heartbreak Hotel. I thought it was "Roadhouse Blues" but it's not even that. But it sure ain't Elvis. - Qermaq - (T/C) 02:00, 31 March 2006 (UTC)
- There's a clip at Amazon. Note the kick in the verse in "Heartbreak Hotel" is "doo doo" while what SB sings is "doo doo doo doo". Very, very different. - Qermaq - (T/C)

There was a lot of talk about this, but nobody corrected it until I stepped in and posted a contradiction in the article itself. Even then I was told to simply post here, but that has been done repeatedly with no action taken. Guess I should have just removed the reference, but I figured that would just be reverted if I didn't post an explanation.
It seems to be a generic parody of blues songs, both musically and lyrically. --JohnnyLurg 10:23, 7 April 2013 (UTC)
Antique stores, huh?
Maybe that's where he bought the Compy 386.--Jnelson09 17:21, 20 April 2006 (UTC)
Possible goof
Maybe I'm missing a point here, but at the end with the postcard options you can change the contrast but it returns to black at the end. Goof? I'd be amazed if it hasn't been brought up before, though. AK47x2 14:28, 5 November 2006 (UTC)
Closed STUFF
Back to the STUFFIt's that CLOCK being stuck on 2:55 may be a reference to Back To The Future, where the Hill Valley clock tower is stuck on 10:04. Two Cars
Is it possible that Strong Bad's going to Two Cars means that Free Country, USA likely is NOT in Tennessee? -WarthogDemon 00:19, 5 February 2007 (UTC)
- I dunno... It's possible to go vacationing in other parts of the state (for example, Phliladelphians might go hang around in Pittsburgh for a vacation). --DorianGray
- Right after I typed this and pressed enter, I actually remember I myself have vacationed in my own state . . . so my bad. ^_^; -WarthogDemon 00:37, 5 February 2007 (UTC)
- Yeah. <johnnycash> I've been to Asheville, Wilmington, Charlotte, Winston-Salem, Nags Head, Chimney Rock, Elizabeth City, Bryson City, Sunset Beach, and I might get to Greensboro sometime this summer. </johnnycash> --Jnelson09 18:39, 14 June 2007 (UTC)

Historic Over There
Could the name of Historic Over There be a reference to the old war song called Over There, "The Yanks are coming/The Yanks are coming/And we won't return til it's over over there." Bad Bad Guy 17:18, 18 August 2007 (UTC)
Solo
What was the solo from? 76.102.80.126 04:32, 4 November 2014 (UTC)
Wicked Solo
Many commenters on YouTube think that the "wicked solo" Strong Bad busts is Closer to the Heart by Rush. StarFox 04:40, 16 December 2018 (UTC)
- Many commenters on youtube think a lot of stupid things. I hear no similarity whatsoever. — Defender1031*Talk 08:51, 16 December 2018 (UTC)
- I'm not even sure what part of "Closer to the Heart" is supposed to sound like that. The guitar intro? Only similarity I can hear there is that they're both playing arpeggi. Geddy in the verses? Or the Lerxst guitar solo? Those don't really sound that similar at all. And I doubt any other part of the song could even be construed as similar. DEI
