The Goblin

"That guy has serious problems."

The Goblin is a green, armless creature who primarily appears in Halloween toons. When he shows up, he usually does a short dance to an organ tune, his dance resembling Leg Movement #1 in Dancin' Bubs. The Goblin seems to be the only inhabitant of Free Country, USA with visible ears.

The Goblin was created when Homestar Runner started telling a pass-along Halloween story in Homestarloween Party. He has since made appearances in all of the major Halloween toons up to and including Most in the Graveyard, except for The House That Gave Sucky Treats and Halloween Fairstival; since then, his only appearances have been Later That Night... and Haunted Photo Booth, Halloween Hide and Seek (albeit not in the initial release), and 2022 Costume Pack Now Available.

By virtue of Bubs's addition to the pass-along story, he is also the owner of a '73 Gremlin. He is found hanging out under it in the Spooky Woods in Where's The Cheat?. The Rocoulm refuses to entertain the Goblin because he claims he has "serious problems", although they now seem to be married, as shown in Later That Night....

In Most in the Graveyard, Homestar is convinced that finding the Goblin at midnight will allow the Goblin to spin their candy into gold. The Goblin also saves Homestar and Pom Pom from the Carnivorous Undead Sheep and dances to a much funkier beat.
