This article

This was marked for deletion, but I like this page. It provides good information. Keep. —FireBird|Talk 23:32, 19 May 2006 (UTC)

I don't see why this should be deleted. Keep. - Bub

I like it too, save for the references to "a The Cheat". We still only know of one. --DorianGray

It's a good article, but it needs one thing... a link to The Cheat.

I'm such a hypocrite...But I still think that this should be mentioned on The Cheat's character page. At least make it a subpage of The Cheat. — Seriously (Talk) 23:50, 19 May 2006 (UTC)

We don't have subpages in the main namespace. — It's dot com 23:52, 19 May 2006 (UTC)
Oh, okay. I figured that might be true, as I've never seen a subpage in the mian namespace. — Seriously (Talk) 23:54, 19 May 2006 (UTC)

Veins or nerves?

I thought it might be fun to debate whether the spindly network running down from The Cheat's facebone toward his ulterior sclipula and also down his left arm are likely to be veins or nerves. I personally think that they are nerves, as they appear to descend from the base of a mostly-hidden possibly brain-like structure protruding from behind The Cheat's facebone. (For the sake of simplicity, "veins" should here be taken to refer to circulatory structures in general, and thus can also include arteries.) Thoughts? --Shawn81 01:06, 10 October 2006 (UTC)

I agree completely. Loafing 01:20, 10 October 2006 (UTC)
Well, hey, fan whackers, you got canon to back it up? Qermaq - (T/C) Image:Qermaqsigpic.png 01:30, 10 October 2006 (UTC)
The Cheat screams when he gets kicked. —BazookaJoe 01:33, 10 October 2006 (UTC)
You call that proof? You'd scream wherever I kicked you, does that prove your physiology? Qermaq - (T/C) Image:Qermaqsigpic.png 01:35, 10 October 2006 (UTC)
How about we keep forum and IRC-style posts off talk pages and limit this to a productive discussion?  Loafing 01:45, 10 October 2006 (UTC)
I'm quite serious. If I kicked you, you'd scream. That's the limit of BJ's argument. Please accuse the guilty, I am pointing out the inanity in the argument. And I argue there is no argument - that nerve or vein, there's no way to tell and either's a random and irrational guess. Qermaq - (T/C) Image:Qermaqsigpic.png 01:50, 10 October 2006 (UTC)
Whoa, easy on the edge guys. My last post qualified for a ":P", and I didn't feel like adding it after I posted. I gave you a "fan-whacker" answer like you called for, and my argument is canon "proof" that The Cheat has nerves. It was intended to be nothing more than a bit humorous, so far that it is unable to prove or disprove any circulatory system. And I would appreciate it if you left room on the wiki for a degree of "forum and IRC-type" posts as you chose to classify this, for the sake of those who are unable to get on IRC. Yes, the wiki has grown more professional in leaps and bounds since I joined a year-and-a-half ago, but I don't like overregulating this kind of stuff either. Thanks, BazookaJoe 02:59, 10 October 2006 (UTC)
Yeah, I overreacted a bit. I was really not in the mood to be called a fan whacker and assumed that Qermaq's argument was ridicule. So yeah, I felt that you crossed the line between having fun and pissing me off. I should have probably just said that instead of pulling the "IRC-type" thing. Now for the actual discussion: yes, Qermaq, I would probably scream if you kicked me hard enough, but somehow I think that would be related to the pain I'd feel. I also agree that we don't know what that thing growing out of The Cheat's facebone is, but I don't think it's irrational to assume that it's probably nerves. Anyway, if you have any suggestion for a more neutral phrasing than the current one, then I'm all for it. Loafing 03:39, 10 October 2006 (UTC)
I think they're nerves: they're connected to the brain area, but they're not at all connected to the heart-like "organ" (which admittedly is connected to the esophagus). Trey56 05:06, 10 October 2006 (UTC)
sigh. We DON'T KNOW, and to GUESS is not particularly smart. Speculation only leads to trouble. Don't do it. Qermaq - (T/C) Image:Qermaqsigpic.png 06:50, 10 October 2006 (UTC)
I think they are phlinpts - A The Cheat-only organ that transform blue purple cells and some from of electricity called monotiruns. I can go making this stuff up on the spot and it will be just as vail as your speculations. VIVA LA INVISIBLE PINK UNICORN! Elcool (talk)(contribs) 07:47, 10 October 2006 (UTC)
They're green in Blue Laserdisc Challenge. Would that imply that they are nerves, or that The Cheats have green blood? I was going to change the article, but I thought I should ask here first. Shwoo 05:48, 22 December 2006 (UTC)

This article is a piece of fanstuff loosely based on one picture from a cartoon. This "article" accomplishes nothing aside from retelling what the picture already tells us, adding pieces of speculation, and even complete fanstuff ("Apparently The Cheat can survive with one pulse every 4.45 seconds..."). It does not meet the standards we have set here, and as such I recommend it be a-deleted. Qermaq - (T/C) Image:Qermaqsigpic.png 09:05, 10 October 2006 (UTC)

Yeah, jus' stick the "physiology" pic back on The Cheat's page, and get rid o' this. It's kinda... off... --DorianGray
Then how about a cleanup? This article was around for long and could have been neglacted. I think that an article about this subject should stay, but cleaned. Elcool (talk)(contribs) 10:12, 10 October 2006 (UTC)
Even with a cleanup, what would be left? The photo? Qermaq's right, this should be deleted. — Lapper (talk) 12:32, 10 October 2006 (UTC)
It does seem like original research, so maybe it should be categorized that way. It's pretty cute and well written and I would hate to see it go to waste. —BazookaJoe 13:12, 10 October 2006 (UTC)
A condenced version of this information already exists at big white face#Remarks. If this page is going to stay, that fact should be merged into this page and turned into a link. As for my opinoin of this page, I think it's okay to leave as is, but I also wouldn't object to having it condenced slightly, and turning it into a sub-heading of The Cheat, since most of the other characters have interesting sub-headings on their pages already (except for Bubs and Marzipan). I don't agree with deleting this article. There are certainly section that are much too speculatory and should be eliminated, such as the part about the vocal organs (the article should discuss The Cheat's known physiology, not what it might be). But most of the article is a fine explanation of what is shown in the illustration from big white face and I see no reason not to keep that. Heimstern Läufer 14:44, 10 October 2006 (UTC)

Eww. Cheatpups.

Est-ce que vous vous souvenez le dessin du The Cheat enfants? Do you remeber that sketch of the litter of cheatpups? Should something about that be on there?-LordQuackingstick 21:53, 17 January 2007 (UTC)

Anybody-LordQuackingstick 22:28, 17 January 2007 (UTC)
LordQuackingstick, sometimes it takes awhile for people to respond to comments on talk pages. It's not helpful to add additional comments to try to get people to reply to you. Heimstern Läufer 22:35, 17 January 2007 (UTC)
Sorry. I usually don't do that, 'cept with my userpage Quote thingy... hint hint...-LordQuackingstick 22:40, 17 January 2007 (UTC)
I'm not really sure this fits the page, which is primarily about the anatomy of The Cheat, not about his possibile ability to produce offspring. Heimstern Läufer 22:43, 17 January 2007 (UTC)
