[edit] Deletion Summary Template

About a week ago, I was reading 'Kipedia and saw this template (the one at the top of the page). Could we use something like this? It would allow users to immediately see the consensus of a deletion topic without having to read the whole thing. However, it could be a little overkill since our talk pages are usually smaller than Wikipedia's and overlooked topics aren't really a problem here. Any opinions? -Brightstar Shiner 20:33, 7 June 2008 (UTC)

I would vote for not necessary. We already have a deleted talk template which states that we deleted or merged a page. The reason why, as you state, is usually pretty clear. Having a note for every single challenge to a page would be a bit overkill. Not only are our pages smaller, but we also have far fewer pages that 'Kipedia. wbwolf (t | ed) 22:08, 7 June 2008 (UTC)
I also don't think a formal template is necessary, since we keep all the discussion relating to page deletion/inclusion on the talk page itself rather than moving it elsewhere. (We did use templates like that back when we used STUFF, although those were for fun facts and not the whole page.) — It's dot com 21:09, 17 June 2008 (UTC)
