Even though Coach Z is billed in the program as the director, he seems to be carrying out the duties of a stage manager during the performance.

Arguments for:

  1. They still are not the same job, and thus there IS a discrepancy.

Arguments against:

  1. That happens, especially with unprofessional plays, this is nearly always the case. Since this seems to be an unprofessional play, that would likely be the case.
  2. Even if this is a "discrepancy," this isn't significant enough to mention.
  3. This might be notable if there was another character who was acting more as a director, but there's not.
