Personally I don't really see the resemblance to a shamisen, it just looks a like a stylized guitar to me. The earlier Twitter sketches all pretty clearly show a guitar. The final design has a sound hole (like a guitar, unlike a shamisen). -- Bleu Ninja 19:38, 16 August 2021 (UTC)

I think the resemblance is there. At least when it comes to the long neck which is what the fact as currently stated is referring to. I think of 20X6 Carol as a fusion between a guitar and a shamisen. Not only that, if you look at Carol in the game and intro the sound hole is fake: it's brown or purple instead of black. I'd say that earlier sketches simply illustrate the fusion between instruments in the evolution of its design. In any case, it's obvious that the neck is huge... well very long and rather thin. --Stux 21:23, 16 August 2021 (UTC)
