[edit] Can we transcribe?

With a print interview, what is the procedure to find out if it can be transcribed/copied? At this point, anyway, it would seem just a link to the IGN site is enough, but... wbwolf (t | ed) 14:51, 16 April 2008 (UTC)

We should ask for permission, just to be sure (like this)... Trey56 17:08, 16 April 2008 (UTC)

I reverted the page back to before it had the whole text. Before we reprint those, it is customary to include here in the talk page the email correspondence between us and the interviewer site. Elcool (talk)(contribs) 20:29, 16 April 2008 (UTC)

I've sent a message to IGN...

Hello, I am an user at the Homestar Runner Wiki (http://www.hrwiki.org). I am contacting you about the interview you did with the creators of Homestar Runner. (http://wii.ign.com/articles/866/866454p1.html) I'm asking if we could have your permission to reprint the interview on our wiki. Please respond if we are or are not allowed to put it on the wiki.
Thanks,
Will

I'll post replies when they come. Super Turtle Talk 20:53, 16 April 2008 (UTC)

You should've put something more like Thunderbird did when asking about the Adventure Gamers Interview (link above). Even putting that we're a non-profit organization/website might help put the choice on our side. And sentences 3 & 4 are kind of the same. But thanks for emailin' 'em! Oh, and for anybody else, is their any other articles like this (ie. need reprint notice)? DevonM(talkยทcont-ribs)
I believe TBird took care of them all at the time, but I could be mistaken. Elcool (talk)(contribs) 22:31, 16 April 2008 (UTC)
