I'm not sure that there are enough appearances of Led Zeppelin to qualify as a running gag/merit its own page — I suggest that this page be merged with Heavy Metal (or possibly deleted, if the information isn't deemed noteworthy enough). (Sorry, Jangles5150, I don't mean to undo the work you put into this.)

- NO!!! This should not be mergeed with Heavy Metal. Led Zeppelin's music was one-third accoustic, and that is not heavy metal. Also, the members ,in an interview, stated that they hated being labeled heavy metal, for the reason I stated. --Jangles5150 21:52, 8 February 2007 (UTC)
Please, just call me Jangles. And, Led Zeppelin has shown up twice. Don Knotts has shown up once, but Knotts has his own article. So, why should he have one, but not Led Zep? And don't say "because Don knotts had a speaking role". --Jangles5150 21:59, 8 February 2007 (UTC)
- But what if that's the real answer! Don Knotts actually appeared in a toon, unlike Led Zeppelin. Okay, I see your point about not merging the content with Heavy Metal — I was mostly trying to find another place to include the information to save it from deletion. - If Led Zeppelin actually appeared as a character (or characters) I'd fully support an article on the band. If they were represented in three or more instances, I would as well. However, two mentions of a running gag has historically not been sufficient to merit an article. I suggest merge with Heavy Metal for the time being. If a third instance of Led Zep is encountered, it can arguably deserve an article as a running gag. - Qermaq - (T/C)

Sorry, but I never listened much the Zeppelin, but it is true that a the subject of the page need to be referenced three times to merit itself. About merge or not, I leave it to the people who enjoys the music to decide. — Elcool (talk)(contribs) 06:15, 9 February 2007 (UTC)
