Talk:Listerine
From Homestar Runner Wiki
Listerine doesn't make a person drunk. If you drink Listerine, it kills you. — MichaelXX2 01:14, 2 November 2008 (UTC)
- And makes you go blind. But that's why it makes you vomit first, so it's usually relatively safe.
- It does neither of those things. No ingredient in Listerine is poisonous in the quantities contained-- at least, none more poisonous than the ethanol itself, which is the same form of alcohol found in beer, wine and liquor. The flavors added to the Listerine make it bitter and unpalatable to drink, which is the only form of denaturing it contains; it is not denatured with methanol or any other poisonous chemical, otherwise it would not be safe for oral use. Listerine was originally formulated to be a surgical antiseptic- it was designed to enter your body. --73.232.146.130 01:19, 13 October 2021 (UTC)
Uh, I seriously doubt anyone threatened the bros chaps with legal shinoligans, it was just a joke. Probably since they had to change a lot of stuff for the games (mountain dew and swiss cake rolls come to mind, even though swiss cake roll is a generic pastry term).
- It is definitely a joke, otherwise the original references would no longer be up on the site. The wiki line should probably be edited to remove the suggestion that the Brothers Chaps were involved in legal troubles over the line. --73.232.146.130 01:29, 13 October 2021 (UTC)
- I'm pretty sure it's a reference to the fiasco with Mattel and the [REDACTED]. Though bringing that up on the wiki page is... probably not the greatest idea. But yeah if there was any legal action this page 100% wouldn't exist so yeah it should probably be changed. TheOneAndOnlyDanky 01:40, 13 October 2021 (UTC)
- I don't mean to be unceremoniously "r/whooshed" but what [REDACTED] are we discussing here? ----J∃ffJMan 18:27, 1 February 2022 (UTC)
