Strange and amusing tombstones appear quite often in the Homestar Runner body of work, real or imagined.

- Dancin' Bubs — One of the potential backgrounds is Bubs dancing over a grave with the tombstone reading "Your Grave".
- Main Page 7 — Homestar Runner, Strong Bad and Pom Pom are buried in a graveyard.
- Email comic — Cheerleader visits a graveyard of all her dead friends.
- Malloween Commercial — A tombstone for Mr. Shmallow is shown when Marshie declares he'll scare the viewer's dad.
- Email replacement — Strong Bad imagines his tombstone engraved with "Here lies Strong Bad/Checking e-mails and kicking Cheats in the hereafter/Buried with his hundred girlfriends/and like, a jillion dollars/Please don't dig up the grave".
- That a Ghost — Old-Timey Bubs emerges from a grave with a tombstone that says "Unmarked Grave: Son of Mark Grave". It also mentions Eustace Pietimer: Skinflint and Junk Codger.
- Sample of Style — At the end, Bubs's tombstone is shown. It reads "Bubs: 19?8-2004 'That'll be five dollars.'"
- Thy Dungeonman 3 — If the player dies during the course of play, a tombstone reading "Thy Deadgeonman" appears on the Game Over screen.
- Email original (Easter egg) — A whole graveyard of King of Towns, including Onion King of Town, is shown.
- Somber Vacation — Strong Sad buries himself in the sand, complete with headstone, and wins third place in a sand sculpture competition.
- Most in the Graveyard — Bubs shows Coach Z the tombstones of his family, and Strong Bad makes fun of the ridiculous names on other tombstones.
- A Death Defying Decemberween — Bubs gives Homestar a sled to perform his death-defying run down the Steep Deep and says it doubles as a headstone if Homestar dies in the attempt.
