[edit] PAGENAME
Hey, when is {{PAGENAME}} needed in a Category? I've seen it used for, say, templates, but I guess it's not needed for more run-of-the-mill categories. What does it do, and when do we need it? Thanks... - Qermaq - (T/C) 15:49, 16 April 2006 (UTC)
- While categorizing pages, they are sorted by their first letter, but when doing so to templates, they are all categorized in the letter T (for Template). Using {{PAGENAME}} force the system into using the true name of the page. It is never used on mainspace articles, as their full name is the true one, but rather in other namespaces like Help, Category, Template, HRWiki, User, MediaWiki and other variants. — Elcool (talk)(contribs) 15:56, 16 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Hebrew Name
Hi Elcool, Would it be too much to translate a little for me? --Dacheatbot · Communicate 16:15, 22 April 2006 (UTC)
- No probalo. You didn't specify what name you want translated, so I'll just do them all.

[edit] Sig
Why did you revert the edits I made to my sig? Tampo (T/C)
17:47, 27 May 2006 (UTC)
- Your sig is linked to from so many places, that changing it to what you did will cause every page displaying it as that box. That box also break several signeture rules. — Elcool (talk)(contribs) 19:12, 27 May 2006 (UTC)
- My signature is small enough to fit inside the box. Also the message that says "There is currently no text on this page You can..." doesn't show up when I use my sig.
Tampo (T/C)
20:04, 27 May 2006 (UTC)
- When I saw your edit all I saw was a bulk of code and the box beneath it. I didn't have time to spend checking every line of it to see if and where you put <includeonly> and similar tags inside of it. I oppose all that trickery and If I claimed to have reverted your signature because of it breaking the rules, then I now claim that I did so because of those include tags. I don't know what reasons you have for not allowing people to see your sig when they access it's page but the act of hiding it is discourged. Next time use plain, visible code. — Elcool (talk)(contribs) 05:29, 28 May 2006 (UTC)

How did you do that?--The cheatman 20:59, 9 June 2006 (UTC)
- As a sysop, I can block users and IP numbers who disrupt order on the wiki. — Elcool (talk)(contribs) 21:05, 9 June 2006 (UTC)
- I don't care. your just picking on me for not being as old as you.
- Up until now that you brought age into the game, I didn't know you are 11. Still, age doesn't metter on the wiki. I blocked you because you were (and still are) disrespectful to other users. — Elcool (talk)(contribs) 21:10, 9 June 2006 (UTC)
- whatever happened to freedom of spech.
- It stayed the same, with it's limits. Cursing is not protected under it. — Elcool (talk)(contribs) 21:16, 9 June 2006 (UTC)
- By the way, freedom of speech does not give you the right to say whatever you want whenever you want. The old "shouting 'fire' in a movie theater" bit comes to mind. Here, as in many places in your world, there is the expectation of respectful behavior. If you were at school or working in a job and were disrespectful to people, you would eventually find yourself punished. There's no violation of the guarantee of freedom of speech there. - Qermaq - (T/C)

How do i delete a picture? Im still kinda new at this site. x66x66 12:40 28 july 2006 (UTC)
- I don't belive you can. If you want to tell someone to delete it, then put {{tobedeleted}} on the top of the page.
Stongbah Preeow!
16:49, 28 July 2006 (UTC)
- That's right. Only sysops (like E.L. Cool here) can delete anything on the wiki. You could also put {{delete|Reason}} at the top of the page. Make sure you replace Reason with something like duplicate image or wrong format. – The Chort 16:56, 28 July 2006 (UTC)

- Do I really need to explain to a 25 year old man why he shouldn't pick random 18 year old boys on PG-13 sites that live in another continent? — Elcool (talk)(contribs) 03:08, 4 August 2006 (UTC)
- Hey, tone it down! I'm 24. Cedric is a year younger than me. —Brian Barbera 12:06, 4 August 2006 (UTC)
- Yes, I'm going to be 23 in November. —2Fast2Furious 12:08, 4 August 2006 (UTC)
- With all due respect, Brian Barbera, this is not the place in which to choose dates, whether or not they're the same gender as you. We're going to have to ask you to not do that here, as this is a "family wiki". Additionally, I'm not really sure where 2Fast2Furious comes into this at all, either. — Lapper (talk) 18:55, 4 August 2006 (UTC)
- Hey Lappy, 2Fast2Furious is Cedric! They are the same person. That's my buddy from school. You're not sure where he comes into this? He was responding to my comment. That's all! —Brian Barbera 19:37, 4 August 2006 (UTC)
- Well, I don't care even if you're 18, both of you. I'm not into males and that's the end of it. — Elcool (talk)(contribs) 06:11, 5 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Personal Image Removal
I didn't know I could only use 2 non-Homestar pictures. (Maybe next time I'll read the fine print.) I've decided to mark FFSS_1.jpg and FFPR_1.jpg for deletion, but I don't know how. Could you give me a hand? Tryin' not to break the rules, SamFisher1022
- For a personal image, the easiest way to mark it for deletion is by adding the text:
{{delete|Personal image no longer wanted}}
(or whatever your reason is) to the page, and saving it. --DorianGray- Alright. All the unused images, currently not on your page will be deleted. Thank you, and if you have any other questions regarding the wiki I will gladly help. — Elcool (talk)(contribs) 22:57, 6 August 2006 (UTC)

In what way are bugs not animals? Bugs are indeed animals, and most of them do have gender. Though it happens to be the case that we don't know the Fat Bee's gender, that doesn't mean it doesn't have one. --Jay (Gobble) 18:15, 23 August 2006 (UTC)
