[edit] Subpages

Hey there, Darkest Hour. May I ask what all these subpages are for? There are only a few allowable uses of subpages. Cheers, Trey56 22:02, 19 February 2007 (UTC)

A friend on wikipedia is sending me a password. He wants it to be privatly sent. Ill leave U a message when its sent. then you can delete all of them. Thank you --Darkest Hour 22:05, 19 February 2007 (UTC)
Just so you know, this won't be a private way to send the password. A lot of people patrol Special:Recentchanges and will read your friend's password. Trey56 22:06, 19 February 2007 (UTC)
Please be aware that there is no way to keep a password private on the wiki. I can see nearly every edit ever made on this wiki, whether it was reverted or not, and a sysop can see them all even if they were deleted outright. Not to mention, for that time before it's deleted everyone can plainly read it. This is not a good plan. Qermaq - (T/C) Image:Qermaqsigpic.png 22:11, 19 February 2007 (UTC)
What am I to do? I need the password. and if no one knows what the heck it goes to its totally useless. redirectltr.png Darkest Hour 22:14, 19 February 2007 (UTC)
Why don't you just have him email you the password? Trey56 22:15, 19 February 2007 (UTC)
edit from moms compute at work. -- http://www.hrwiki.org/skins/common/images/redirectltr.png 22:16, 19 February 2007 (UTC)
If this is between users, use the email function in the left column. You can log in, so add your email to your preferences. Then people can email you privately. Qermaq - (T/C) Image:Qermaqsigpic.png 22:17, 19 February 2007 (UTC)
Another option is to create a free email account, then use that in your preferences. Then you can check it online. By the way, let's keep all replies right here. Trey and I (and others by now, I'm sure) are reading it fine right here. Qermaq - (T/C) Image:Qermaqsigpic.png 22:21, 19 February 2007 (UTC)
How do I keep my mom from reading it?Because I'm sure she does not not what my crap on her computer. --redirectltr.pngDarkest Hour
I'm afraid I can't help you with that. If your mom (or your mom's boss) wanted to, they could have set up a keylogger or something already. I'd be sure you weren't doing anything to get your mother in trouble if I were you before proceeding. Qermaq - (T/C) Image:Qermaqsigpic.png 22:25, 19 February 2007 (UTC)
Which is why I say that you would have to search all over the place to plug in my password. Please let me have it here. redirectltr.pngDarkest Hour
I'm afraid, as I explained, that won't work. Click the link to the left that says "Recent Changes". You'll see every single edit made on this wiki. People can and do read each one. There is absolutely no guarantee of safety. Qermaq - (T/C) Image:Qermaqsigpic.png 22:30, 19 February 2007 (UTC)

Darkest Hour, this is not an appropriate use of this wiki. The policies on subpages are clear, and even if they weren't, it is simply not in your best interest to post sensitive information on a public website. As it is, your creation of subpages and this very conversation are a disruption to the actual purpose of this wiki. Please find some other way to handle your dilemma. Trey56 22:32, 19 February 2007 (UTC)

Well post me a not so public website and I might use it. --redirectltr.pngDarkest Hour22:35, 19 February 2007 (UTC)
I'm sorry, Darkest Hour, that's not our responsibility. As Trey asked, since there is no way we can help solve this issue, please find a different solution. Qermaq - (T/C) Image:Qermaqsigpic.png 22:39, 19 February 2007 (UTC)
Darkest Hour, thanks for your cooperation — As a final note, a pastebin maybe the answer you're looking for. I don't know much about the different ones, but this one appears like it might be more secure than others. Best, Trey56 23:06, 19 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Your Signature

Hey there, Darkest Hour. Your signature is much too large according to our signature policy. Please fix it. Thanks, Loafing 21:16, 18 April 2007 (UTC)

But is very clever nonetheless. --DorianGray 21:19, 18 April 2007 (UTC)
Hmm... it doesn't seem to be too big to me; am I missing something? Trey56 21:32, 18 April 2007 (UTC)
Whoops, my mistake, I'm sorry! I really should have put it in a sigbox. It just looks big. Erm.... don't mind me, I'm just a healthy piece of real estate. Loafing 07:19, 19 April 2007 (UTC)
