[edit] Bandwith Issue?

Why is it that your user page always slows my computer down? Espemon333 01:39, 23 September 2009 (UTC)

Probably the super-awesome ascii art. That's a lot of information in a very small visual area... I know any time i scroll by it, it slows down for me as well. It's possible that your browser renders the entire page at once rather than just the section you're viewing, in which case, you probably have the whole page loaded, but it hasn't become visible yet, as the ascii-art takes a while to process given its complexity. Unless it's affecting other programs, don't worry too much about it. If it IS affecting other programs, please let me know, so i can remove it. (Cool though it may be, if it's causing people problems, then it shouldn't be there.) — Defender1031*Talk 01:58, 23 September 2009 (UTC)
Well it only messes up Internet Explorer, so you're good! I just try to avoid the page so it donen't shut down my Internet. Ironically I can open Benol's page without a problem! Youknowwhotw0n32t2
His ascii art is black and white. Mine is varying color, and nearly each character has its own color codes. Far more data. — Defender1031*Talk 00:00, 25 September 2009 (UTC)
Ah. Espemon333 00:14, 25 September 2009 (UTC)
Wait a second... YOU LIE!!! I see no ASCII art! Espemon333 23:19, 7 October 2009 (UTC)
really? — Defender1031*Talk 00:11, 8 October 2009 (UTC)
Oh, um, well, about that... imakickyouto! Espemon333 00:23, 8 October 2009 (UTC)
It doesn't work for me either. It only did once.... When i pull it up, I looks like its trying to go, like I get the first 3(?) lines of it, but on the right of it it looks like the quadratic formula exploded. There's wierd + signs just thrown in randomly. It also has a partialy obscured "w" at the end of it. The whole thing is there when I hit edit to check and see if you just took it down. I don't know if it's just my browser or what... it's wierd... cash money tc 02:04, 8 October 2009 (UTC)
Well I can open it on another page with that on there... Espemon333 23:48, 12 October 2009 (UTC)

[edit] I meant to mispell, "Humestar"

Humestar looks stupid. Now Humstar, THAT looks nice. TheHumstarRonner 01:53, 25 September 2009 (UTC)

Agreed. — Defender1031*Talk 01:57, 25 September 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Horrible Painting edits

Sorry, I shouldn't have gone about changing things without fully examining the situation. -132.183.151.213 01:02, 13 November 2009 (UTC)

Not a problem. — Defender1031*Talk 01:05, 13 November 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Sig color change

Do you mind changing the color of my sig to decemberween colors please?--Record307 Talk/Contribs 21:56, 1 December 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Name Help

Can you tell me how to change my name? I want a sig, but, "TheHumstarRonner," makes it too long! Help ASAP! TheHumstarRonner 03:03, 3 December 2009 (UTC)

See HRWiki:Changing Username. — Defender1031*Talk 03:44, 3 December 2009 (UTC)
In case this helps at all, it's acceptable to use a shorter version of his username in your sig without actually changing your username. As an example, you could use "HumstarRonner" without the "The", if that helps make it short enough. But I don't know what your design idea is, so I can't be sure what would help. Anyway, thought I'd let you know. Heimstern Läufer 03:53, 3 December 2009 (UTC)

[edit] The word that shall not be named

Re: editing out on YouTube talk page. I really don't see why you are getting so upset over the use of that word. I know it's Yiddish in origin, but it's meaning is about the same as "yahoo" or "slob"— just a random guy, maybe a bit of a loser. It is not harsh enough to require editing out. wbwolf (t | ed) 21:00, 20 December 2009 (UTC)

No, no it's not. Please come on to IRC and i will be glad to explain it. I'm not willing to explain it here. — Defender1031*Talk 21:10, 20 December 2009 (UTC)
But we don't censor bollocks, which is roughly equivalent to Brits as what I understand to be the earlier Yiddish origin. And leaving it as stars makes it seem a lot worse than the poster intended. -128.103.10.245 21:14, 20 December 2009 (UTC)
That's different. We don't censor SB no matter what he says. Now, can we please please PLEASE stop making a big deal out of this? Anyone who's curious can find me on IRC and discuss it OFF the family-friendly wiki. — Defender1031*Talk 21:20, 20 December 2009 (UTC)
After doing further research, I still think you are over-reacting (since I'm going from the American English meaning, not the original Yiddish). IRC is not an option, sorry. But your compromise is enough. wbwolf (t | ed) 22:04, 20 December 2009 (UTC)

[edit] "Not what it's called"?

I don't mind which version of the quote we use for that Homestar and The Cheat article, but I hope you know that the one I typed is the quote from the Original Book, not a misquote of Strongest Man in the World. BBG 23:39, 20 February 2010 (UTC)

When I made the edit, it didn't edit conflict me from when you DID, in fact, have not quite the right quote. That said, I kinda also forgot that the original book had that wording. Still, i kinda like the A, B quote better. — Defender1031*Talk 23:54, 20 February 2010 (UTC)

[edit] Thee and thuh

That's actually a real rule - "thee" before vowel and "thuh" before consonant - but it's an extremely loose rule and I don't even think most people recognize it as a rule; they just say it (usually) out of habit. So while it's true, I wouldn't put the fact on a page even if SB were to break it. --Fourth of Jay (Fireworks!) 00:54, 13 May 2010 (UTC)

Is there a rule about "a" being pronounced "ay" vs. "uh"? Clearly can't be the same rule, since it's "an" in that case. — Defender1031*Talk 10:46, 13 May 2010 (UTC)
None I'm aware of. Probably varies by accent or stress. --Fourth of Jay (Fireworks!) 11:18, 13 May 2010 (UTC)
